TEL in the RealEstate Industry Empty TEL in the RealEstate Industry

Post by Warrens 2013-04-22, 7:20 am

I notice that a lot of agents are now using a url on their sign-boards to direct prospective buyers to an informational site or Listing site.
    eg. 321oxford.com or 2456MainStreet.com.
Of course they have to build out a site to do this. A Telname would be just fantastic for this use, and they can of course also link to their listing site.

Maybe Telnames should consider targetting the real estate sector also.

A Telname could be useful for any industry, but as long Telnames doesn't do anything against a) the bad SEO abilities and b) the lack in implementation of important requirements it's not a serious service and it's helping nobody.

    Sounds good.

But I think it would be better to have a .tel site with subdirectories.

A subdirectory for every property for sale with accurate infos, a video, a few photos, the phone and email of the agent...

I doubt very much the inputting of photos and video will ever be available from the Telnic control panel (this is of course available now from the Telnames control panel).

Why do I say this ?

Have a look at http://www.teltalk.org/t145-the-long-lost-tel-roadmap-uncovered which shows enhancements planned for Telnic subdomain .tels for delivery no later than 30 June 2011 - yet 2.5 years later most are undelivered - this Roadmap was dropped from Telnic's site suddenly on 1 July 2011 !

IT LOOKS LIKE "GAME OVER" FOR TELNIC SUBDOMAIN .TELS - if you don't agree with this statement then please explain why ALL the marketing - TV ads, radio shows, business exhibitions, affiliate scheme, official blogging, etc - only happens now for Telnames single page .tels as shown by http://YourBusiness.tel !

That's my guess: Telnic is convinced that .tel will succeed in any case - no matter what. Telnic won't spend any relevant amount of money neither on development nor on marketing. All money available will be only spent on salaries. If Apple or Google will discover the DNS for phone services by themselves, then the story can begin. Otherwise nothing will happen at all, because Telnic won’t do anything anymore. That may be hard to accept, but this is how it's running for several years now.
