Rick is a forward thinker and views his domain assets as very long term - but it's worth looking at how important he views his own .tel at http://RickSchwartz.tel before getting too excited by the headline of his blog post !

What his post is basically saying  is that .tel, .mobi and .xxx all had a reason to exist - a "compelling story" as he puts it - whilst the new extensions don't have this.

    That's it - nothing more - nothing less !

Yes, certainly, and we all know the .tel story:

Telnic made promises to the world that it didn't keep. The End.

It's a short story, but it could have a middle sentence in the story:

Telnic made promises to the world that it didn't keep. Telnic then decided to change its ways and keep the promises that it made to the world in the beginning, and it was successful.  The End.

Very compelling ... very compelling indeed, a real "cliff-hangar".

Telnic just wants to keep us in suspense, thinking the compelling story is over.  I guess we'll just wait for sentence in red.

Telnic's strategy is based on the following principle:

As little effort as possible, as many returns as possible.

Telnic is still busy with the first part of this sentence.

One more thinker, who didn't knew what to do with a TEL with hosting on DNS with it's 3000 subdomains. Now he became enlightened what to do with a one-page TEL with no subdomains.

He is a great enlightened thinker, really! ; )
