The Wireless Registry Inc. is the first global registry and name system for Wireless Names and identifiers.

The Wireless Registry starts with a flexible registration system capable of registering billions of Wireless Names, device MAC addresses, Beacon ID strings, LTE Direct Expressions, and any other proximal wireless signal. This allows for innovative uses, such as the world’s first MAC address opt-out system launched this year in collaboration with the Future of Privacy Forum. More information on this is available via the links on our Home page.

    Mobile Location Analytics Opt-out

Facilities such as airports, stores and hotels use Mobile Location Analytics (MLA) technology to understand the traffic patterns of people in their venues. By learning and using insights, such as how long customers stand in line and how they generally move around an area, these facilities can enhance operational efficiency and improve user experience.

A UbiName™(Ubi) is a personalized, unique name that identifies you in the wireless world.

UbiNames enable applications for wireless devices (cell phones, tablets, music players, etc.) to detect the signals of other nearby wireless devices and to share content with the people and groups that you choose.

UbiNames™ wireless names are valuable tools that not only identify your devices as yours, but also provides context to your wireless space and helps you to control who you choose to share your personal content with. Choose to share your content with the everyone, a few close friends, or for total privacy - shut out the world.

I don't understand that service either. Why do I need an Ubiname to play, shop or meet? I have the App Store for games, online coupons for shopping and social networks to make an appointment for meeting my friends.

Why do I need an Ubiname in addition?
