The .tel coin has two sides:

    Tails you lose.

    Heads (Grab-the) Kash wins.

    Only some thoughts:

    • Most quality domain names have found new owners or are even available after dropping.
    • Most domain investors have given up. Consequently, potential new customers will be another clientele.
    • Much more time will be available for future development, because Telnic feels absolutely no pressure to hurry up.
    • People are still discussing .tel, although no money can be made with it. Hence, hard core customers are very consistent.
    • Telnic's shareholders have to find new ways to make their investment profitable in the long run.

I'm curious about the reason for this HUGE TRANSFER of .tel domains yesterday !

Maybe the end game for Telnic's involvement with .TEL is now rapidly approaching ?

That's what we all are waiting for! But I see no signs that this will happen soon.

Perhaps because they got a cheaper deal for the bulk registration of their portfolio of this failed domain extension.

What is Telnic thinking? Does the CEO believe anyone will be interested in his mismanaged TLD?

Mister Cash will never accept an offer from them, because his intention is to get really rich with such a deal.
He has proven within the last years that he rather destroys .tel than doing anything that doesn't bring him own personal benefit.

    fail? Tip 3 http://www.telnic.org/community/tips

    3. Include Google AdSense adverts to your .tel domain

Setting up AdSense in your .tel name control panel is easy. You will firstly need to create an AdSense account at Google.

Once Google have confirmed your account has been created simply click on the Settings link at the top of your control panel and then type in your Publisher ID and Advert ID then click save. Each Advert ID will display a block of up to 3 adverts to the right of your contact information on all PC browsers. If you wish to display more than three units, include a second Advert ID. The .tel page will then display 2 advertising blocks, one after the other, in a random order.

This is not an included feature in the control panel settings to my knowledge, it has to be done manually by scripts still? or does this show us that tel is still being developed? aka a feature to be released?

    @fustachio.tel

Please open your control panel from Telnic (not Telnames), go to settings and there to Google AdSense Setup.
After inserting the required fields (mentioned in your copied description), Google AdSense will be displayed on your .tel domain.

It has been working since 2010.

Afilias were potentially interested in buying .TEL over a year ago !

But as is usual with Telnic they don't seize opportunities, even when put on a plate in front of them !

Telnic earns much more money with the renewal fees for the current registrations than they would get by selling the TLD to another party.
From their own economic point of view, Telnic can't do anything wiser than letting .tel die slowly.
