The domains of Telnames are very expensive. 15 £ are a lot of money!

    Maybe better a domain from:

    Kiribati (.ki) for 1495 $

    Puerto Rico (.pr) 1400 $

Norfolk Island (.nf) for 1350 $

    ....

    :-)

Yes, £14.95 is a problem since the market is full with cheaper competitors.
A lot of customers will hesitate registering a .tel when they found out the domain prices for .com or .net.

Which don't, unlike .tel, include the cost of web hosting and a means of creating/updating the site for both desktop and mobile versions.

It's a bit like comparing apples and pears, since .TEL is intended (particularly with the single-page Telnames version) to be a SINGLE POINT OF CONTACT internet presence, whereas a .COM etc is intended to host a FULLY DEVELOPED WEB SITE WITH DYNAMIC DATA.

So price comparisons are a bit irrelevant - unless the funtionality being delivered to the purchaser is approximately the same.

A .com site can be a static site. With Weebly the hosting is free and you have automatically a desktop and a mobile version of the site.

With a .com site you can have a full site: all pages you want, great images and video embedded, use the fonts you like, use the colors and backgrounds you like, add all the text you want... what peole want from .tels.

The single-page of Telnames instead is in competition with free services like about.me and similar.
