    Yes, you are right.

But if we will began now to praise Telnic without having any real reason for it, then I personally would feel me being stupid, because if the paid posters get money for praising something, then why we should do the same thing for free?

I think that Telnic could give us "personal discounts coupons" for renewing our TELs with, say, 50 % discount. Then I will be the first one who will praise Telnic loudly at all forums I visit.

What will happen now? Will the Telnames customers drop their domains?

But remember that many Telnames customers paid either £5.00 or £9.95 with trade show discounts, so it's quite a hefty rise to be asked to register/renew at £24.95 ($40.68 at today's XE.com exchange rate) from 14 January 2013.
    .
If this was true I would gladly pay if it was due to offering wallets aka transaction credits between .tel members, as it should bring in people who want alternate means of accepting money for trades/goods/services/donations and should produce growth. Either way it's high time they add wallets/currency to build a market between members, it maybe a contact card but a contact card in the digital age should be versatile and able to be featured in transactions.
    .
I hear facebook as a complete paypal payment solution now so people can buy goods without leaving facebook, and we have what? a contact card thats hard to share and even harder to recieve.

I guess the only company who knows more about this is Google.
Telefonica could know about TEL, because it's former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer has/had something to do with Telnic.
Juan Villalonga was (from 1996 to 2000) "Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Telefonica, a leading worldwide telecommunications services provider".

He is currently a Director and Shareholder of Telnic Ltd.

If you click http://companycheck.co.uk/company/03555437 and then the People tab you will see that Juan Villalonga was appointed a Director of Telnic Ltd. on 10 March 2004.

    Net assets:
    2011 - 12,178,090
    2012 - 8,793,812
    difference: - 27.59%
Numbers from that link look not good:
    12,178,090 - 8,793,812 = 3,384,278

If the same trend will continue, then we could have:

    2013: 8,793,812 - 3,384,278 = 5,409,534
    2014: 5,409,534 - 3,384,278 = 2,025,256
    2015: 2,025,256 - 3,384,278 = - 1,359,022

So, in the year 2015 something could happen.

2015 it would be too late. Probably we don't have to wait long for something to happen.

If Telnames won't generate revenues soon, there must be a great change for the better. Otherwise Telnic can only provide maintenance of the technical infrastructure without any development.

That's the reason why they increase the price now, because registration numbers are low.
They need to find another way to get money quickly.

Аs I sее it, in TЕL-gаmеs аrе fеw pаrtiеs invоlvеd. Thе mаin twо аrе:

    1. Tеlnic/Telnаmеs
    2. TЕLs оwnеrs (i.е. "wе")

Thеy bоth cаn influеncе TЕL аnd its risе оr dеclinе.

Tеlnic/Telnаmеs cаn influеncе it dirеctly by dеvеlоpеmеnt оr nоn-dеvеlоpmеnt оf thе tеchnicаl sidе оf TЕL, by аdvеrtizing TЕL, by chаnging pricing.

Wе cаn influеncе TЕL indirеctly by rеgistеring аnd drоpping оur TЕLs. Wе cаn tо sоmе dеgrее influеncе TЕL by оur sоciаl аctivitiеs, е.g. by cоmplаining tо vаriоus institutiоns, likе ICANN (which prоvеd tо bе inеffеctivе), tо cоnsumеrs' rights dеfеnding аssоsiаtiоns, еtc., аlsо by prаising TЕL оr cоmplаining аbоut it аt vаriоus fоrums аnd in privаtе tаlks with оur friеnds аnd аcquаintаncеs.

But thеrе is аlsо thе third pаrty, whо cаn influеncе TЕL dirеctly - аnd thеsе pеоplе аrе Tеlnic shаrеhоldеrs.

It wаs аlwаys vеry intеrеsting fоr mе, whаt dо thеy think аbоut аll this?

At last it is thеir mоnеy, which drоppеd, by the way, frоm some 35,000,000 (+ Lаndrush mоnеy) tо currеnt 16,000,000 (оr sо). Do thеy nоt rеgrеt аbоut thеm, аnd thеn they are thinking аbоut thеsе thеir lоst mоnеy, аrе they always cаlm, trаquil аnd hаppy likе Buddhаs?

There must have been internal discussions between Telnic and them, but we'll never hear anything about it.
    We can only guess again.
After registration numbers for .tel have been always disappointing, we could observe a strong cost reduction latest in the year 2011.
This could have been initiated by Telnic or by their shareholders.
We don't know who of them decided to follow the strategy we see at the moment.

A few years ago the Coca-Cola corporation made a BIG BUSINESS MISTAKE, changing the formula for the original Coca-Cola !

They alienated customers worldwide and it could have been catastrophic for their longevity, given that rival Pepsi-Cola was waiting in the wings to take their customers.

To their credit Coca-Cola realised their mistake, recalled stock, apologised to their customers - so turning a PR disaster into a containable error that they rectified !

WILL TELNAMES HAVE THE GUTS TO ADMIT & RECTIFY THEIR MISTAKE ?

Fair comment - but no doubt there are 4,823 people who weren't banking on a near 67% increase in Telnames renewal cost !

I thought inflation in the UK was officially around 3% ?

    Happy New Year from Canada
    Mark

2013 is almost over. It is not the fault of Mark, but in unexpected ways he was right.
Mark couldn't know that Telnic will withdraw even further from active business operations.
Telnic has remained doing what Telnic did the years before and developed each year less than the last year before.
Thus Telnic accomplished the goal to reduce the number of customers strongly every year.
This includes Telnames (another name for Telnic) where very little development is happening and real customer demands play no role.
(Telnames sells only 1 up to 4 domains per day!!!!)

Sorry Telnic, for speaking out the truth so clearly, but it must be allowed to mention the undisputed facts.

Meanwhile it's apparent to everyone that Telnic has a very poor strategy and does everything to remain unsuccessful.
Will Telnic understand this at some point and begin to develop a product suitable for customers?
Can anyone understand why Telnic doesn't hire someone who is willing to lead this domain extension to success?

Let us continue to watch the strong decline in 2014.

A merry Christmas to everyone in the world!
