700 $ may seems not bad. I suppose that it was Landrush domain, which was dropped and then catched by you. Then you sold it for 700 $ and had profit.

But let's imagine, that that Landrush domain was sold by it's original owner, who has, let's say, also another Landrush domain. He paid for each of them 300 $, then had expenses for renewing them for 5 years (total 300x2 + 5x2x10 = 700 $), and then sold one of them for these 700. The resulting balance is zero. Of course, remains the hope that he will sell the remaining domain in future, but it is only the hope and not the money.

And that hope has such little index of reliablity, that lot of clever people simply dropped some or all of their Landrush domains because they calculated it is cheaper to lose invested money and to look for another, more attractive fields of investment.

    Yes, It should be.

I found .tel late and haven't experienced landrush period.
I respect landrush generation, like Beatles/Rolling Stones generation(it's me) respect Elvis/Chuck Berry
( I was very happy to found mikeseaton.tel and roy.tel,  They are so cool! )

.tel was the cutting edge of those days.
They found it and believed it would turn into gold

No one could have expected to finish it without being developed.
The situation has always progressed in the worst direction.

I heard people cry,'It's All Over Now, Baby Blue'
I was one of them, dropped 300+ .tel at that time.

    But it's restarted.
Everything have changed except for Telnames. XD

    new mid-menu looks good!
Thank you for adding drop lists

    Sunrise wrote:teltalk.tel is available, too.
talk.tel would be the better option, but that domain is in possession of Telnames.

I reconsidered it from that time.
I thought teltalk.tel was bit clumsy.
but as you said, talk.tel was telnic's master account,
I started to think that it might not be so bad.

    I registered teltalk.tel just now.
Thank you for your kind advice.

@mic, I do not know how to make "quotation" on my tablet, but regarding your mention about "changing hands for Neustar" - as it appeared, it was just a rumors, not true event. So it not exist.

    @mic,

As for using TELs by Bank of China (or something like it you wrote about somewhere in the forum), do you really believe that serious people will put their big business under dependence of Mr. Cash will and caprices? I am sure that they will not do this in any sucumstancies. Instead, they will buy from ICANN their own extension and build their business on it - for sure without any Mr.Cash as mediator.

    Yes,tablets are sometimes inconvenient.

My Ipad is first generation, can't update browser anymore.
    IPad(1st)+iphone5+win7( I love XP, though)
My win10 is so slow and annoying(for old software I use).

    "changing hands for Neustar"
Yes,it just expectation, so it not exist as you said.

I don't know how much will it take to run registry.
but if the number of registrations falls below that level, it sure happen.
It might be kind of strategy to not do any campaign

    This article is interesting

    @mic, thanks for the link!

    "telchina.org...text ..."
They write nice, but as a source, I would prefer not telchina.org (who are a party interested in increasing it's value in eyes of it's customers) but Bank of China. Because it could be simply one of recently popular "fake news".

After teltalk.org was dropped again, it was registered last on 2018-09-18 to install a Chinese affiliate site that advertise a casino provider.
