Telnames has no knowledge of internet searches

Have you typed in Exmoor House tel or Exmoor House telephone in http://Google.com recently?

Telnames is right that the domain www.exmoorhouse.tel appears on Google page one for the search term "exmoor house tel".
But the number of people searching for "exmoor house tel" per month is zero!!!

The domain www.exmoorhouse.tel is on the following positions for more important search terms:

• Bed and breakfast Exmoor: Not in the first 300 results
  
• Guest house Exmoor: Position 247 (Google page 25)
  
• Dinners Exmoor: Not in the first 300 results
  
• Rooms Exmoor: Not in the first 300 results

(I used some keywords from the domain www.exmoorhouse.tel for the samples above.)
How anyone searching for a guest house in exmoor can find this domain without the knowledge of its exact name?

If Telnames want to survive, they need consultation from SEO specialists.

How anyone searching for a guest house in exmoor can find the domain without the knowledge of their exact name?

@TimSpears - you are right - no searcher is going to add "tel" onto the end of their search term.

Which is why the only way for .tel domains to be found is to persuade people to use a ".tel" only search engine and develop a Global (YP-style) Directory to go with it.

I've developed a .Tel Search Engine and planned to develop a .Tel Global Directory.

The .Tel Global Directory I had laid the foundations for has now been put on hold unless and until Telnic/Telnames get the mess they have created sorted out and make it attractive for software developers to develop for a rising (not falling) market.

Using my .Tel Search Engine here's the position of http://ExmoorHouse.tel in the 4 searches:

Obviously my .Tel Search Engine has much less content than a standard Google search - it uses the Google database but restricts displayed sites to .tel only.

So the key to promoting .tel sites is to get users using a .tel search engine.

Telnic/Telnames have one of course called TelPages - have a look at the home pages http://www.Telnic.org and http://www.Telnames.com and see if you can spot a search box to encourage users to try Telpages out ?

I suggested to Telnic (on their forum before being banned) that the home page http://www.telnic.org (Telnames hadn't been launched then) must incorporate a Telpages search box, or failing that a large search button that shouted out there was a Telpages search engine.

I got nowhere - despite Nadya (long since left Telnic) saying it was a very good idea !
