Important, but missing .tel tools!

These important tools are missing both at Telnic and Telnames:

Room booking
Contact (and other) forms
Blog
RSS feed
Flexible text integration
Flexible picture integration
Services / product catalog
Directory service
Customizable icons
Widgets
...

IT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN, PERIOD !

To understand why I am so sure about this, have a look at http://www.teltalk.org/t145-the-long-lost-tel-roadmap-uncovered

This shows improvements scheduled for delivery by Telnic in Q2 2011 (ie. no later than 30 June 2011) - yet nearly 3 years later the vast majority of these have not yet been implemented.

So my advice is to plan your .tel strategy on the assumption that none of Toptel's wish list will ever be delivered.

Telnic are of course free to chip in here and correct my assumption if it is not 100% accurate - but don't hold your breath - significant .tel development is more or less over though there will no doubt be some tinkering at the edges (colors of icons etc) to give a few crumbs of comfort to those who still refuse to "get real" about the current stewardship of the .tel project.

JUST .TELLING IT LIKE IT IS !
