SMB-focused mobile website platform DudaMobile released some data based on a survey of its partner network of developers, marketers and others who use DudaMobile’s mobile site building tools to service a largely SMB client base. The survey was sent out to 500 firms this month and DudaMobile received 182 responses.
Unlike other surveys that show growing demand among SMBs for mobile sites and mobile marketing this one shows that SMBs aren’t proactively seeking out mobile and mobile sites. Only 3.1% of DudaMobile’s respondents said that SMBs had approached them for mobile help.
However a majority (69%) of respondents characterized their SMB clients as “adaptable” and “open to giving mobile a try but with some pushing.” A small minority reported that their clients were “savvy” and understood that “the need to give mobile visitors a better experience.”
