We can Moan all year about telnic/telnames but this forum will start to look boring and defeatist  and over time some of us who have been around will drift away

what will a sad .after all we have got to know each other over time and what may end up being the only good thing about buying a dot tel in the first place

So why not start by saying what success you have had with your Dot tel...

for me i run a mobile phone shop and dominate my keyword for my city and get work everyday no1 in google on my dot tel and when my wordpress sites got hacked and shut down for few weeks my Telname and old tel still was fine.

but i think the biggest thing i have noticed from costumers in the last few years is now they know its not just com or co.uk and they don't seem so puzzled when i say phoneunlock.tel they don't go to phoneunlocktel.com or phoneunlocktel.co.uk.

sorry about going on a bit......

More and more small businesses and end users are buying Telnames - currently still in small numbers.
If you are patient, maybe in a few years you will see more benefits of .tel!

How should that work if Telnic continues to do nothing?

What matters is not the number of Telnames bought but the number of Telnames found by Google etc.

I believe it was around 5-6K Telnames indexed by Google the last time this issue was discussed - click https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=site%3A.tel+%22powered+by+telnames.com%22 to see what today's figure is - my PC says just 3,840 !

Another failed Telnic strategy which also causes resentment with customers and registrars. Go Teltards!

When I follow your link, I get the impression that Telnames isn't more than the internal address book of Telnic employees (because almost all .tels on Google's first page belong to them).
