Selling Dottel as a single point of contact and as a mobile website hasn’t brought the desired success.
I have an idea to show the strength of Dottel by providing the first social network which takes data protection seriously.
But this would require extended effort, so I don’t see this coming soon.
Provide a similar social network on Telfriends and enable the basic functionalities from Facebook, but concentrate on contact data. Only the most important features need to be provided:

Of course there are many possibilities to program such service. It would need some more brain power.Instead providing a timeline or a wall the Dottel content will be displayed (as plug-in inside of Telfriends)
Friend list
Friend search (integrated Telpages search)
News feed about updates on domains of connected contacts
Chat room for contacts currently online
Calendar / Events (including birthdays)
Easy administration of data access for contacts (implementation of the privacy settings from the control panel)
Should Telfriends be successful one day external apps could be integrated at a later date.
