I warned Telnic years ago...

... that "Time Was Of The Essence" and it was essential they got their marketing act together for .TEL long BEFORE the New gTLDs hit the streets !

Many others said the same thing - we were ignored as usual - and now .TEL faces being lost in the noise of the New gTLDs !

Here's what I - and many thousands of others - have been spending our domain dollars on recently.

What if the whole thing was a con from the start? That would explain Telnic's behaviour I think.

If thinking about domain names like casino.online, for me .online seems to be the most logical name for a domain extension of all nTLDs.

No wonder the numbers are that well!

And you can even build a website with it (different than with .tel)!

This domain is reserved by the registry.

Of course, nTLDs are a competition for .com domain owners.

People don't like it if their business gets competition!

I agree - in particular what I like about .ONLINE is how you can make the Title of your web site PERFECTLY MATCH the URL of your domain name.

Here's an example from a .online domain (not yet developed) I registered yesterday.

Site Title = Property Sales Online, Domain = propertysales.online

Registration prices for .online are very reasonable (although renewal will cost more, unless you save by doing a year-end transfer) - I paid just 14.99 USD (less than a Telnames .tel) for the above domain at Name.com.

.online is the perfect domain ending if you offer anything to buy or to use over the internet.
