Does anyone know where on https://www.icann.org we can find out if Telnic have applied for and succeeded in getting a renewal after the 30 May 2016 expiry date ?

The revenue model consists of a $6 annual registration fee. The target market is any current telephone number subscriber (individual, corporation, or service provider) who wants to register a telephone number and associated Internet addresses on the Internet.

Time for a changing of the guard I think !

Who knows, may be "some little gifts" given in the right time to the right hand helped them to make the "right descision".mikeseaton wrote:Yet ICANN plans to renew the .TEL contract with Telnic (although not yet signed) - CRAZY OR WHAT !

I've just spoken to ICANN in LA (tel +1 310 301 5800 if you want to do the same) and it's not good news re the 30 May 2016 expiry of the Telnic .TEL contract.
It seems that although Telnic have achieved just 0.53% of their 5 year sales target after 7+ years, and all the other Telnic issues that forum members are aware of, negotiations are going through for Telnic to renew the .TEL licence when it expires on 30 May 2016.
They advised me that the new .TEL agreement with Telnic will be published on the ICANN site once negotiations are completed.
As usual there are far more .TEL drops than registrations showing today at http://registrarstats.com/TLDDomainCounts.aspx - a fall to 100K registrations is getting very close, most key Telnic staff have left, virtually all .TEL software developers have given up, the list of self-inflicted problems goes on and on !

mikeseaton wrote:Drops outnumbered Registrations by 20 to 1 yesterday - see http://registrarstats.com/TLDDomainCounts.aspx - which shows 721 Drops and 36 Registrations giving Total Registrations = 102,694
Such a far cry from the Year 5 = 19,898,906 Total Registrations - see http://www.teltalk.org/t4447-telnic-s-tel-10-year-registry-agreement-with-icann-ends-on-30-may-2016#15733 - predicted by Telnic when they applied to ICANN to operate the .Tel extension.
