So how best to do...

I have boracay.surf registered as a domain and I'd like that to be the website people will find in google. However, I don't wish to run anything grand.

I also own surfing.tel

So....

I was thinking that could I simply use surfing.tel (usung the 1-page easy website) and have boracay.surf be the only thing google cares about???

I know it needs some redirecting, but can I get a little help on what to do? I'd really hope that wind.surfing.tel and kite.surfing.tel could also be used somehow.

I suggest that you need to invest $22 in buying boracaysurfing_com and boracay-surfing_com (these two domains are free at this moment) and do a website at boracaysurfing_com, redirect to that site boracay-surfing_com, and at surfing_tel make Telhosting one-page with a link (or few links) to boracaysurfing_com.

Having your main site at COM it would be better in all senses: predictable renewal price, stability and predictable extention's development politics, search-engines’ respect, people's custom preferences, prevention from having this COM by competitors, etc.

As for domain boracay_surf, I would drop it - for prevention of headaches and possible losses in future.

Of course, it is your choice what to do.

Ten years later we can see was this choice good or no. : )

In the very same way I use my TELs: portretas_tel

I think that it is an optimal usage of a one-page TEL.

Not seldom, .tel single page domains rank much better than heavy domains with different extensions.

You could use surfing.tel with the Telnames template to support the ranking of boracay.surf.

Anyhow, .surf fits better for a surfing site than .tel.

If you are targeting internet users that are on the search for the keywords 'wind surfing' or 'kite surfing', than you should develop wind.surfing.tel and kite.surfing.tel.

If you target Boracay visitors, then I would develop boracay.surf.
