    Today .xyz lost 1,172,124 domains.


    Now the first position is taken by .top with 2,615,724 domains.


    .xyz now has 2,579,162 domains (they were about 6,200,000).

    The dropped domains are those that were registered one year ago for the price of less than USD 1 (or even for free):

    It was logical that those domains won't get renewed when the registrants have to pay the normal renewal fee one year later in 2017.
