Last week I did a Google search of .tel domains and .tel sites registered and used in Italy (1).
I got 236 results. Removed the irrelevant results, I remained with 203 .tels.
Visiting the sites, I obtained these results:
- 3 expiring domains
- 1 domain that does not resolve
- 5 parked domains
- 12 sites normally developed (9 with redirects to another domain)
- 15 domains with the Telhosting entry page
- 167 sites developed on the Telhosting platform
The conclusion, in my opinion, is that nobody is interested in developing sites using the.tel extension, while the Telhosting platform still enjoys discrete health and it would not be a bad idea to develop and enhance it with a better choice of templates and the addition of subdirectory, as was before.
