.tel sites in Italy Empty .tel sites in Italy

Post by silvano 2017-12-15, 3:31 pm

Last week I did a Google search of .tel domains and .tel sites registered and used in Italy (1).

I got 236 results. Removed the irrelevant results, I remained with 203 .tels.

Visiting the sites, I obtained these results:
    - 3 expiring domains
    - 1 domain that does not resolve
    - 5 parked domains
    - 12 sites normally developed (9 with redirects to another domain)
    - 15 domains with the Telhosting entry page
    - 167 sites developed on the Telhosting platform

The conclusion, in my opinion, is that nobody is interested in developing sites using the.tel extension, while the Telhosting platform still enjoys discrete health and it would not be a bad idea to develop and enhance it with a better choice of templates and the addition of subdirectory, as was before.

The list of the Italian .tel sites I found is here:

You know, the problem with going back is that telnic treated its customers like geniuses.
They stole years of our time, were untruthful by telling us that “the team” was taking our ideas to the discusion room. Rarely if ever got back to anybody. Disgraceful. I feel most sorry for mark who really did try to “not ruffle telnic feathers”. But then others like dan.tel who misread the entire thing and slowed even further technical improvements but saying “its normal” that telnic should not need to respond. Railroaded or what.

    Rubbish.
I have never seen a software company more neglectful to its customer base, just pathetic.
.tel would probably do ok as per its original startup idea (but with anybody other than telnic)
