    Nice list! Telnames can learn from those services how a good mobile website should look like.

    @TelGirl

    I haven't got the time to examine all the competitors in your list, but I get the point you are making !

    .TEL needs to play to its unique strengh - which is the ability for software services to read and react to the content held in its DNS.

    This has been covered by Henri in his posts about Phase 2 of the .tel project - the problem of course is how do you create enough "critical mass" to enable the Phase 2 concept to be of interest to Telcos etc.

    Hence the creation of Telnames.com and the YourBusiness.tel template style.

    If any forum member knows a better way to move forward to the essential "critical mass", please let us all know !

    The better way is very simple: Telnic should be not lazy and develop functionality and design of TELs, according to its customers' needs.

    That's easy:
    a. Invest a few days of additional development and make Telnames better than the competition.
    b. Give the options from Telnic to Telnames and the options from Telnames to Telnic.
    c. Explain the monetary benefits of .tel to phone companies, so they can't resist implementing the DNS into their systems.
    d. Find heavy partners who are experimenting with the DNS already (Google) and cooperate with them.
    e. Don't refuse all customer requests for improvements.
    f. Give away .tel for free for the first year and push registrations to several millions.
    g. Cooperate with Amazon, Ebay and other retailers to give a .tel to every customer that is buying a mobile phone.
    h. Don't wait for critical mass and lower the price for a .tel to $3 per year.

    If Telnic would do that, only millionaires would work at their office. Does anyone know what holds them back?

    The article at http://readwrite.com/2011/06/29/google_launches_free_mobile_website_builder about Google's Free Mobile Website Builder is dated 29 June 2011 - has any forum member tried this out in the 18 months since its launch ?

    If so, any views on how it compares to a Telnames .tel being created/updated via the mobile app ?
