I'm confused !

I thought Alex sold out to "Admin" a few weeks ago (domain name & forum content) ?

Now "Admin" is selling the "Domain Teltalk.org" - is the forum content included ?

I apologize for the confusion. I sell the domain including the forum. To be honest I didn’t know about the legal problems when acquiring this forum. I don’t want to have it anymore. I will sell it to the highest bidder no matter what. I don’t have an asking price. The highest bidder will automatically win. I'm sure the forum would be a perfect fit for some domain investors. Legal expertise would be beneficial. I don't have this.

That's such a shame - this is the only place where those who are actively trying to resolve the .tel situation have a real voice !

It sounds as if you're determined to get rid of the Teltalk forum regardless of the price, if any, that is offered ?

Have you just been threatened with legal action by Telnic/Telnames ?

No, I had no contact to Telnic / Telnames, but I found the previous e-mail exchange about legal differences in the admin mailbox after I took over the forum. I won’t go into details, but I don’t want to take any risks. So yes, I will just let it go doesn’t matter what the price will be. The new administrator will have the full freedom to do with this domain whatever he wants. Buyer and seller won’t be named.

This is very bad news for those who believe in frank discussion when trying to resolve the numerous problems that exist with the .TEL gTLD - burying your head in the sand never works in business in the long term !

For me it has no difference. I have good background - my brother owns a big law-firm and works with different EU objects. So I can bid here openly in this topic, not by the email.

@Admin - it sounds as if you are prepared to sell Teltalk.org to Telnic/Telnames, or one of their representatives, even if they purchased it just to shut it down ?

I have no preferences. The highest bid I will receive decides about the destiny of this forum. I can be wrong, but the person who is willing to spend the highest amount for this forum should have the highest interest in the future of Tel, too. I don't want to make the decision what is best for Tel. Perhaps shutting the doors of this forum could even help to calm down the environment for Tel. I really don't know. I only want to close this chapter for myself.

This Teltalk forum is a real traffic magnet for both users and Google/Bing search engine bots (who seem to have taken up almost permanent residence).

Here's the stats for 6.35pm UK time today:

In total there are 51 users online :: 3 Registered, 2 Hidden and 46 Guests :: 2 Bots

Hopefully Maxi or another forum member will be able to buy it and keep Teltalk alive now that Admin wants out ?

Without information on the legal threat ie viewing the emails; there is no way anyone should bid to purchase this web site. You would have to be crazy to buy it under these circumstances.

Even if there was a genuine legal case against the owner of TelTalk - and remember YOU CANNOT BE SUED FOR TELLING THE TRUTH - be interesting to see how successful a UK-based company would be in pursuing litigation against a
US-based individual shielded from identification by a domain protection service !

Buy the domain for cheap and lock the forum: problem solved.
