China Unicom or China United Netcom (Hong Kong) Ltd is a Chinese state-owned telecommunications operator in the People's Republic of China.
Compared to other mobile providers China Unicom is ranked as the world's third-biggest mobile provider.
On January 7, 2009, China Unicom was awarded WCDMA license to expand its business to 3G telecommunication.

Taking one name at random from the list, http://www.lmobile.tel has a remarkable similarity to a Telnames .tel domain !

The difference between the above and Chinese .tel http://aishang.tel is as marked as the difference between Telnames single-page and Telnic subdomain .tels !

Only the Chinese registrars are using the possibility to create their own templates. Why Telnic doesn't make it interesting for other registrars offering this, too?

Telnic have published a spec for this - but non-Chinese Registrars in the last 4+  years have shown NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER in doing this.

The reason IMO is that software development in simply not their business model - which is registration and renewal of of as many domains as possible in all profitable extensions.

With nearly 2000 new gTLDs on the horizon, the chance of non-Chinese Registrars sudddenly showing an interest in developing TEL Proxies and Control Panels IMO is ABSOLUTELY ZERO !
