I've just checked http://registrarstats.com/TLDDomainCounts.aspx and the figures for yesterday Friday 5 August 2016 are:
New Regs: 2,476
Drops: 57
Total Regs: 98,991
I assume these New Regs are mostly Chinese - anyone know an easy way to check ?
So is China now to be the driving force in the .TEL extension ?
Maybe they could buy up Telnic's now expired - 30 May 2016 - 10-year tenure of the .TEL gTLD outright (see http://www.teltalk.org/t4447-telnic-s-tel-10-year-registry-agreement-with-icann-ends-on-30-may-2016#15747) ?

I wonder how a .TEL Newbie would even know the TelPages search engine exists - given that it's not mentioned anywhere on the re-designed Telnic home page at http://www.Telnic.org ?
Maybe they should use the .TEL SEARCH ENGINE at http://www.net-link.com/tel instead !
