    Uniform Structure for Geo Domains

Yesterday, Dotteler was pondering the desirability of a uniform structure for geographic domains. This is a subject that has exercised me too. After reviewing hundreds of web and .tel sites, and bearing in mind the limitation on folder and record numbers, I have come up with a list of 95 main categories, with provision to refine/make more pertinent by the provision of sub folders.

Have a look at www.quicklookmedia.tel and follow the advertise links through the input portal to find the full list of categories.

Within the portal, I can and will be adding and removing categories, to make them more appropriate for different .tels (different subjects, different terminology, different countries, etc.), and I will be providing translations - in due course.

On the geo sites I am including local information such as the location of public toilets, local transport links, and disabled access facilities, where available.

If you think this might suit your purpose then feel free to copy it.

If you can spot any major mistakes, particularly with the few translations included on the German and French sites, please let me know.

    Keep at it folks,

    Roy
