Google maps failed to load I am been getting 'Google Maps failed to load' message in all browsers in the control panel. Has anyone else had this issue and is there a fix? |
Hello Tony, I can't replicate the issue here, I know that IE can block Maps depending on your security settings of the browser, but you are experiencing this on other browsers as well? If so can you let me know what the control panel url you are using is please? Thanks, Aled |
Tony, I can't see Google Maps in Control panel with either Firefox 23 or Chrome Version 28.0.1500.95 m Best work round is Accessing Control Panel via http://www.telvision.co/. Using Chrome I see a warning triangle in top left of browser. According to Google Help Pages this indicates The site uses SSL, but Google Chrome has detected insecure content on the page See my post Control Panel and Firefox 23 which I suspect is another manifestation of same problem you are seeing. Regards, Keith |
The same here. With Firefox and Chrome. With Domainmonster and Webhosting24. https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img191/7377/8vzq.jpg |
up on the left, you must accept it. is block, for danger. you must unblock. the problem is that, you accept, begin to work; and the next time is the same. |
Yes, your browser should allow you to "accept" the fact that the map is served by Google, rather than within the control panel. We are investigating options to see if this issue caused by updates to some browsers can be avoided in any way. |
What are the browser's settings that allow the use of Google Maps in the .tel control panel? Mmmm... Maybe I understand: it's the blocking of mixed content in https made by the browsers? |
Yes, exactly, the cth is https, but the map is loading from Google, which is not part of the same certificate. Accepting any warnings in the browser that this is a security issue will allow the map to load. In IE this is a popup warning. In some of the most recent versions of Firefox there is a shield in the browser bar which you click to accept. |

Aled - Disabling protection in Firefox fixes issue. IE gives you a message with the option of Displaying All Content which also allows map to load. A more permanent fix would be welcome if possible. @Lostwithiel You can work around maps issue with Firefox and IE as already outlined in post. I'm not sure where the setting is in Chrome to allow maps to load..[/size] |
Thats The little shield on the right top corner in the url adress box :-) |
