Forum Rules - Stick with these and we will all be happy

The basic ground rules for discussions on .tel Community Forum are already followed every day here and are simple:
Be polite, use common sense, don't break the law and don't post any message that advertise unrelated products or services.

We don't intend to censor messages based on the opinions expressed within posts, but to ensure that topics are kept on track and nobody gets offended we will enforce the policies outlined here. We reserve the right to modify and amend these terms at any time without notice.

• Your account is yours alone. You are responsible for any activity created with it.
• Only one account is permitted per user. Posting under multiple usernames is not permitted
• Please do not post on behalf of any banned member
• No posts that encourage illegal intent; posting account to be disabled
• No messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful or threatening
• No spam and signature spam (a post that was made in hopes of showing a signature, as determined by moderators); posting user account will be permanently banned
• No trolling – healthy discussion is welcome on the board, but please don't make posts that are inflammatory just to annoy people
• Only threads relating to .tel and associated technologies are permitted on the forum
• Only post images related to the topic. Large images are enabled to allow users to share screenshots relating to .tel, not post huge images of women, cats, smilies, cartoons, etc. These unrelated posts distract forum readers and do not add to the discussion. Posts with unrelated imagery or content will be deleted.
• We do not monitor private messages but will investigate all allegations of PM abuse.
• Let’s stick to one topic, one thread and avoid cross-posting. Cross-posting is when you post the same text in more than one thread or post, or duplicate links or content in some other way. Moderators will try to cleanup unrelated or duplicate content as much as possible.
• Minor infringements of these rules may result in a warning and an infraction being placed on your account. Infractions will last 10 days, and three concurrent infractions will result in a 7 day ban. Anybody can give another user an infraction by using the yellow/red cards on the right side of the post. Please provide a message with your infraction and be prepared to share it if questioned.
• Public posts debating these rules and/or moderators' enforcement of such, will be removed without comment. We encourage feedback however, and invite you to mail us cservice@telnic.org if you have any questions or concerns.

Any posts not meeting these guidelines may be removed without notice. We further reserve our right to disable any account at any time for any reason and without notice.

The moderators will perform regular cleanups to remove comments that have been addressed or are no longer relevant.

So far, we've proven to be sensible and polite people with only a few spammers and other exceptions. Great!

Amendment for infraction levels:

There are 5 different infractions reasons, with different weights to show the severity of the violation of forum rules:

• Signature Rule Violation 1
• Post not relevant to thread 1
• Spammed Advertisements 2
• Insulted Other Member(s) 2
• Inappropriate Language 2

All infractions expire after 10 days. You can get an automatic ban for several days if you get a certain number of points or infractions within the expiration period.

If you think an infraction has been given to you unjustly, please write to the support and we will investigate and reverse the infraction if necessary.
