21.237 .tel domains from SEDO

Sedo "global domain marketplace and leading monetisation provider" is selling by auction 21.237 .tel domains (yesterday were 21.268).

About 300 domains starting from a price of 10,000 dollars/euros/pounds.

Only few offers for these expensive domains:
One bid for 411.tel,
One bid for hotelreservation.tel
Two bids for branchen.tel
Two bids for ny.tel

At a quick look at some of these 10,000 dollars/euros/pounds domains:
- noun.tel
- corby.tel, gmails.tel, vimeo.tel, hp.tel, aramco.tel
- macaron.tel, macarons.tel
- sexme.tel, sex4free.tel, sexgod.tel, sexadvice.tel, sexlist.tel, gynecology.tel <laughing> (pussy is expensive in the .tel world too) </laughing>

Obviously most tels have been bought for flipping. These have been the highest sales at Sedo:

ohio.tel has some directories, but blanks

pickups.tel is for sale on Sedo for 3.500 euro

alaska.tel is for sale on Sedo for 10.000 euro

Some time ago Sedo introduced a rule (at their ad provider Google's insistence I believe) that to get credit for clicks you had to have your nameserver set to Sedo's nameservers i.e. NS1.SEDOPARKING.COM & NS2.SEDOPARKING.COM

Obviously you can't do this with a .Tel, so although anyone can create an address such as http://www.sedoparking.com/HotDates.tel they may well not get any financial benefit from it - BTW http://HotDates.tel is one of mine !

Obviously I would be pleased to hear to the contrary and that Sedo have in fact been crediting revenue to clicks coming from such links.

I am an end user of domains and I ignore the matter.

The only parking I know is that of my car.

design.tel was recently sold for US$ 1,800 at Sedo.
