TELcp Open Source Hello, We are pleased to announce that we will be providing open source scripts (php5.3 + MySQL + JQuery + JQuery Mobile) similar to that of TELcpV3+ in one bundle or in modules (i.e. 1.Manage Records 2.Manage Ads etc). These will be in the form of web applications that can be hosted in most of the hosting companies in the world. Also you will be able to host them in your own computer (We will explain you how to do this, including how to install a self signed SSL certificate in your own computer which will enable you to maintain a secure connection to the CTH). However, these apps will not require OAuth, and will be limited to manage your own .tel domains only (as they will be using your own log in credentials) If successful, we will work on FREE iphone, android apps too. Please stay tuned or send pm if you wish to be inform back to you by pm. Also follow us on twitter just to make sure that you will not be missing the launching date etc. Hoping to start this very soon. Cheers! |
You know I'm clueless, what does this mean in laymans terms? |
Well, we provide script for you to download. You customize it yourself. Examples: Wordpress provides you free scripts for your blogs. You customize them and you host them. I am sorry Blunderer, if you don't know what "Open Source" stands for, then this project is not suitable for you. However, you might still learn something out of it. Hope this helps. Cheers! |
Your right - I'll stick to my knitting for the time being Point me at some examples when they are up and running, please. Kind regards, |
@Blunderer, Will do. ++++ |
So great work! |
Hello to all, We have completed the 1st stage of OS project as there were few .tel owners showed some interest in it. However, we can not develop web applications blindly for the .tel platform without any dev roadmap from Telnic for the current year. Because, if there is going to be any major changes that we cannot foresee and Telnic themselves cannot foresee, our time and money on the project will be wasted. Therefore, we have decided to suspend any dev work on this project until we see a clear roadmap. Cheers! |
So, as feedback telnic should publish a road map but without deadline, I mean, they should say what they are planing to do in the year to come, but not date set. Regards http://ideal.tel |

Exactly. We are not least bother about deadlines or dates. Our only concern is that we should not spend time and money on something that might not never happen or something entirely different from our R&D.[/size] |
