Re: Upcoming drops of .tel domains
There are a lot more drops coming soon of good quality .tels - I know since I will be the person releasing them (unless sold before expiry date of course).
My plan, along with most others who have invested in .tel, is to retain only the very best premium keyword .tels, on the off-chance that Telnic/Telnames will finally get their act together and sort out the mess regarding the Telnames template being denied to existing Telnic customers, and also instigate the worldwide marketing we all know is essential.
Even if they did the above tomorrow, there is a distinct danger that after 3.5 years they have simply left it too late, with everyone's focus now on 1000+ new gTLDs arriving soon.
Maybe things will get sorted out, but on past evidence of actual performance it doesn't look too promising - that's why I, and so many others, are being reluctantly forced to reduce our time and money commitment to the .tel project.
Telnic/Telnames don't seem to care if they lose the support of software developers, domain investors and power users.
BIG MISTAKE IMO !

Re: Upcoming drops of .tel domains
The quality of dropping .tels has become very poor; nothing worth to mention.
There is a clear trend for keeping good keywords and dropping meaningless .tels.

Re: Upcoming drops of .tel domains
You call these a Premium Keyword .Tel Domains ??
Are you kidding ? Most of them are useless and I wouldn't want them for free. Aviation, beef, cans, logs and the rest.
.Tel is best suited for building directories and people like you still don't get it and this is the reason why they register and later drop all these useless .tel domains

If .tel would be as successful as .com, those domains would be treated as premium domains.marimax wrote:You call these a Premium Keyword .Tel Domains ??

But on the current low level not a single premium domains for .tel exist.
Even flights.tel, hotel.tel, cars.tel, taxi.tel and money.tel are useless.

Really ?marimax wrote:.Tel is best suited for building directories and people like you still don't get it and this is the reason why they register and later drop all these useless .tel domains
How do you square that with the ONLY version of .tel being marketed (via TV Ads, Affiliate Programmes, etc.) is the single-page template as shown by YourBusiness.tel ?

Re: Upcoming drops of .tel domains
It may be that these two premium TELs (from Landrush) will not be renewed:
Berlin_tel
Hamburg_tel
They had expired at March 23. If their owner will not renew them soon, they will go to drop.
May be nearer the day of their drop, someone would like to take them before they would be taken by our unknown friend who collects such TELs without registering them.

Still not renewed Landrash domains:
Hotel_tel
Restaurant_tel
Diamond_tel
P.S.
I personally would renewed Hotel_tel - for the case of Telnic's bankruptcy.

Already at Dynadot_com and name_com some drops began to happen more vividly:

@maxi
Thanks for great information.
I thought I was able to win a bid, but I couldn't.
I bid for $120 and I was the highest till last moment.
I found email says
>>Someone has placed a higher bid than you in the Expired Domain Auction for oz.tel:
>>You can still bid again before the auction ends. The auction ends on Jul 7, 2017 4:59pm PDT.
Oops!

Re: Upcoming drops of .tel domains
@ mic, pehaps part of the second had decided.
From the other hand, it could be not good to have a domain, which will be pity to drop if all the TEL- business will appear a one big flop. In my country we call such situation "a suitcase without a handle - it is hard to drag it, and it is pity to trow it away".

I like to go the way people do not go.
Will it apply to almost all dottel clan?
I know you are that family.

Re: Upcoming drops of .tel domains
@silvano, Thanks for information!
but if it's true, that should be me.
that was the price I saw on my bid.
I put $120 (show as $114,you are the highest bidder),
I was watching screen,
and there were no extension period, it closed suddenly.
I think dynadot set minimum bid and closed auction.
I checked whois and it has not changed.
if whois changed, the winning bid price should have exceeded $ 120.

Re: Upcoming drops of .tel domains
Some ll.tel and nn.tel Domains were deleted yesterday by name.com
For example: 12.tel 44.tel 55.tel 66.tel 52.tel 86.tel 91.tel 34.tel 61.tel 62.tel 63.tel 64.tel 33.tel ss.tel and xx.tel
That does that say about the future of .tel. I don't know. The hope dies last

Re: Upcoming drops of .tel domains
@mic
I was curious to find the sale price of oz.tel and browsing Google for "oz.tel dynadot" I found the Namenbio page.
I'm not a domainer and I do not know the trustworthiness of this site.
Unfortunately, 114, 120, or 200 $, are nothing for a two-letter domain.
On the same page, it's written that job.tel was sold last year for $ 168 and name.com has the three letters .tel on sale for 625 $!
There seems to be no value or market for .tel

Where did you get that information(@.@)??
No, they are not deleted.
Their expiry date are 2018-05-31(haven't check all, though)
You can check at http://whois.nic.tel
.tel is not dead.
it's just started.
@silvanosilvano wrote:I'm not a domainer and I do not know the trustworthiness of this site.
Bravo your avater!!
You look intelligent.
I think namebio is correct.
Auction ended with my bid,
but there was a minimum price set in advance and close with it.
$625 would be part of Neustar's strategy. On the same page, it's written that job.tel was sold last year for $ 168 and name.com has the three letters .tel on sale for 625 $!
If there is an acquisition by them, a drastic change will happen.
But when?
3years? 10years? nobody knows.
That's right, no value, no market now. There seems to be no value or market for .tel
because nobody knows .tel
no promotion, no campain, no tweet
it's wonder if people know it.
We all know we can't expect to Telnames.
So it's time for us to start something new, something fun.
If you have any idea, I'll be willing to help you.
