    Vimeo - some issues

Firstly, I just want to say that vimeo is doing a pretty nice job of handling video.
the vimeo back-end service is easy to understand, flexible, and allows for logos overlaid, clicks and links within the video adding further navigation possibilities, and the ability to prevent others embedding your videos. Also, appending of flickr photos etc and another fantastic feature is password protecting JUST the video. this can also provide an additional link (at the end of a brief intro video) to a tutorial or PDF product, ebook etc location you wish to sell.

however, the vimeo videos once added to a .tel are returning 3 very different viewing results for iPhone, iPad, and desktop devices.

    the good:
the .tel (vimeo desktop embedded player via proxy) seems to honor all the vimeo functionality correctly as per set at the user settings at vimeo.

    the poor:
the .tel (iPad embedded player version via proxy) only shows half of the exact same user settings set at vimeo

    the ugly:
the .tel (iPhone embedded player version via proxy) shows very few of the settings set at vimeo.

    Aled,
I have tested this for both original .tel and telnames .tel and would like some help please on where to go next, to find out whats causing the disappearance of settings on the iPad and iPhone, and how we can get consistency for the vimeo videos to display the exact same settings across all 3 desktop, iPad, and iPhone browsers for .tel websites/domains

    thanks.

    Boracay,

Thanks for the comments regarding Vimeo.

With regards to the different settings on different devices, I'm afraid we have no control over this. We create an iFrame on the page and Vimeo determines how best to render based on the device.

    Thanks,

Thanks Aled for the quick response re iframe rendering.
I will follow up with Vimeo tech support and report back here with any news.
