Please don't do another mistake once again!

Do you know how important content is for websites?
How do you think it will be possible to create good search engine results with very little content?
Everyone who has a little bit of knowledge about SEO, will confirm the meaning of sub domains and the ability to insert content into websites!

The answer to this question is certainly the most important factor for the future of .tel!

Funny that we have to discuss such a topic.
Telnic knows from the past exactly how the community is thinking about this!
This forum is full with comments about sub domains and sub domains have been demanded for Telnames many, many times!

If Telnic doesn't want to commit suicide, sub domains need to be provided!

PLEASE POSTPONE ANY UPDATE OF THE TELHOSTING PLATFORM UNTIL SUB DOMAINS WILL BE STILL AVAILABLE!!!

Probably YES - but then again all other gTLDs do not have web hosting supplied automatically (until March 2017) by the Registry, but by a Registrar or Hosting Provider chosen by the domain registrant.

What can we learn from that?

Probably it's better to choose a TLD where the web hosting isn't provided by the registry!

This argument applies only to the few .tel customers, who hope for improvement of the Telnic management.
But since the .tel registry agreement with Telnic was just extended, we still can be sure not to see any customer orientation for the next 10 years.

Premium domains from .tel are only that cheap, because with 100,000 registered domains there is no interest in it.
How do you ever want to sell it?

At least, you can build a nice looking website with it next year.
But you could do this with every nTLD for cheap, too.

True! Why not investing time and money in those domain extensions instead that are performing well like .online and .shop?
For sure, you can't get more hassle with them than with .tel!

Mike just explained it:
.tel is the only domain extension in the world, you can get premium domains for cheap (because of the low interest for .tel).
Premium domains for other extensions are very pricey!

And Mike is right with it:
Should .tel contrary to all expectations find a market in the future, then he would have made a favorable investment.

But right now it doesn't look good for .tel.
People who have count on .tel and Telnic have thrown out their registration and renewal fees down the drain for 8 years already!!!

And the next disaster will happen in upcoming March when SEO for the .tel template will be completely eliminated by Telnic.

All .tel domains with a currently good search ranking will disappear from Google in March!

I always was wondering why people had registered >100.000 domains in TEL?

Real value (and chances to be sold) have only 500 or 1000 top English nouns. Also value could have names of big rich cities, say, this will be another 300 words. Add also some short 2-3 letters combinations and etc., say another 1000 pcs. So total number of TEL domains which have chances to be sold is about 2300.

Of course, if somebody really uses TEL for his "little monkey business" they also have reasons to have TEL. Say, their total number let be another 1000 domains.

For what purpose people have registered another >97.000 TELs is a dark mystery for me.

The same thing we can apply to any of newGTL - in each of them about 3000 domains could have hope to bring some little profit but the rest of registered domains are "dead horse" and foolish vaste of money.
