    October 18: 1020 new .tel domains registered.

    October 19: 1007 of the new registered domains are deleted.

    Has anyone made a mistake in China?

    Normally it's cost-free to delete a domain within the grace period (with refund of the registration fee).
    Domainers often register domains in bulk.
    It they see that no traffic comes in, they delete them immediately without having any money invested.

    Normally, everyone is allowed to delete newly registered domains within five days (with reimbursement of the full registration fees).

    In Cina, around 25,000 new .tel domains were registered in October and November.

    Indeed, currently almost 100.000 .tel domains are registered worldwide.
    That is enough to ensure the survival of Telnames.
