How could telchina drop their .tel? also even if you grabbed it up telnic have a system where telchina wont need to buy it back off you, they can take it.
But honestly if true it shows how dot tel is seen as a pump and forget for most companies and not taken serious, and who in their right mind running a business doesn't turn on auto renew?
So it has to be on purpose, thus telchina is closing down? and is that due to their crappy themes that can't compete with telnames? I mean really telnames is not all that well developed and they can't make a theme that's comparable?

Re: Telchina.tel
Telchina/org and its affiliate Telchina/cc are all well operating.
This may because their person in charge resigned...... as some other in-use-domain drop caused by resignation.
Telchina can also refer to www/Telchina/net, the tele-equipment company, and some more.

To view http://TelChina.tel (nothing there except email address) current ownership details click http://www.easywhois.com/?domain=telchina.tel
The Whois shows this as a personal domain (hence contact details are hidden) rather than a legal entity !

Re: Telchina.tel
So http://TelChina.tel appears to have been dropped after being purchased for $4,992 (the highest ever value .tel sale ?) back in September 2010 - the Whois shows the current registrant as "Bo Zhao".mydomi wrote:The link contains:

Does anybody know what is really going on here - how could TelChina let this domain drop when they are supposed to be the face of .tel in China ?
It doesn't make sense - there must be an explanation !
http://MikeSeaton.tel
PS. I'm assuming of course that TelChina were the buyers at $4,992 ?

P.S.
Be the way, TelChina before dropping that domain could ask JLоuisBiz to pay 1$ for the domain, then there would be 1$ more. : )

The conspiracy theories around .tel's operation, UK and now China, keep on coming !
I'm sure there is a simpler explanation, just wonder what it is ?

Re: Telchina.tel
@mydomi
Just tried clicking the last 3 .tels on http://www.telchina.org/contact.html as you suggested and confirm they are all dead pages.
Not sure how that explains the dropping of http://TelChina.tel though, since the web site http://www.TelChina.org appears to be still operational ?
So I would expect the company TelChina to renew such a critical domain as their own http://TelChina.tel !
I also noticed at the bottom of http://www.telchina.org/contact.html that it says
"© 2010-2011 Telchina Limited" - we are almost in 2013 !
So 3 links on the Contact page to dead .tels of former key staff, a Copyright notice 1 year (soon to be 2) out-of-date, and their own .tel allowed to be dropped - as I asked earlier

Re: Telchina.tel
[OT]
Maybe someone forgot to renew the domain!
This year the Italian Media Company Mediaset (owned by Silvio Berlusconi, you know him?) forgot to renew the domain mediaset.com.
The domain was immediately taken over by a cybersquatter, who attempted to sell it to Mediaset for an unknown amount, but surely for six figures.
Complaints ... lawyers ... Italian courts... USA courts ... the domain is still in the hands of the cybersquatter.

The price for a single domain at Telchina is higher than $150.mydomi wrote:
Has Telchina the currently registered domains really sold for this high price?
75,000 domains could be dropped soon if Telchina would give up.

See http://www.teltalk.org/t674p8-tel-total-registrations-by-type#3788 which shows where the current problem is regarding the continual decline in .tel registrations.
It's not at TelChina as you can see - they appear to be very stable !

Re: Telchina.tel
So the first TelChina issue identified above has been resolved, just 2 more to sort out !mikeseaton wrote:So 3 links on the Contact page to dead .tels of former key staff, a Copyright notice 1 year (soon to be 2) out-of-date, and their own .tel allowed to be dropped...
On the plus side it shows they read the TelTalk forum regularly - probably can't be bothered (like many people) to use Telnic's forum with its crazy "register-to-just-read" policy and distinct lack of posts these days !
It still amazes me that Telnic, with it's avowed intention to change the way the world communicates,
- has "lock-down" in place on its forum
- has cancelled the Roadmap
- has cancelled the .Telegraph newsletter
- has stopped all Telnic development
- has stopped all Telnic marketing
- refuses to communicate with its customers.
You simply couldn't make it up !

Re: Telchina.tel
Sounds like telchina has got more money than it expected to make and now doesn't care and is ignoring the business because they've got the mistaken belief that it "runs itself", though in some respects it does as the updating is done by the owner and not the registrar.
Or winding it down to work on other businesses after their business break up? as for the date on the website it should be updated by the server that runs it, "get time/date" = noob programming, also they really only need to have the automated system remind customers to make sure payments to them are made on time, so this might have lead to a lack of monitoring culture.
But all the above chat from everyone else makes it sound like they are busy doing something else and just neglected this business, though it could be that when they broke up / fired people, one of them took the domain off renewal as a final act of sabotage.

Another telchina's .tel is dropping, anyone interested to grab it?
"zhuce" means registration or register in Chinese, there is still a link remains on kefu.tel ("kefu" means customer service in Chinese pronunciation, you can also find an verification icon besides the name.)
