They find me by walking down the street and long tail search terms in google
taxi or pizza maybe names like 321 a2z a2b and that is the end of it!
Welcome to the objective forum for .tel domains! Read it first when anything is happening with .tel!
Absolutely correct - this long digit .tel domain is already registered ahead of the live date of 15 October - see https://www.easywhois.com/?domain=00442070606301.tellostwithiel wrote:Just spotted http://00442070606301.tel/
Registered on Sept 27th by Telnic for a company called 301, their Design Agency.
@247 - I think you're missing the point !247 wrote:Question: Hello, can I find you on the Internet?
Answer: Sure, please remember 00442070606301.tel and you can find me!
One minute later: Excuse me, was it 00442070606103.tel or 00442076060301.tel or 00442070606031.tel?
.tel is getting crazier and crazier!
I don't understand how this should work:mikeseaton wrote:So if you have an address book containing a mass of contacts, you simply enter their existing phone number followed by .tel to get every possible means of contacting the target, plus a bit about them as well, plus any other info they want to distribute.
1. You decide which is your main phone number and register mainphonenumber.tel (including your country code) - Telnic would for instance register 442074676450.tel247 wrote:I don't understand how this should work...
How to get their free smartphone address book software on the phone since nobody knows about it? (It's easy to download, but today not more than 20 people in the world are using .tel actively.)mikeseaton wrote:3. Telnic make an adjustment to their free smartphone address book software so that you can either DIAL a phone number or VIEW the .tel itself (which of course has "click-to-call" built in).
You got a good point here Mark, I believe is easier than telco, telco could come after.kprobe wrote:Instead of Telco's, Telnic should push this to VOIP providers who are Telco competitors. Easier to implement in software/firmware rather than hardware. A VOIP caller could get a selection of contact phone numbers, even email/SMS if line is busy.

... because Telnic is using the same link as for the introduction of numeric .tel domains in 2011.mikeseaton wrote:although I don't really understand why a page about Long all-numeric domains is called Short !
Expert wrote:Meanwhile I've learned from Aled Williams that all publicity respective the all-numeric domains is restricted to very little marketing material only for registrars.
Telnic is trusting again that the registrars do the work for Telnic.
In other words this new project will fizzle out very fast!
How can anyone expect retailers (ie. Telnic registrars) to be interested any more in promoting .tel when what many would view as a more desirable template is NOT made available to them by the manufacturer (ie. Telnic/Telnames) ?kprobe wrote:Name.com is not promoting numerics that's for sure. Their efforts are focused on new gTLDs. You cannot preorder numerics either, backorders are accepted but will not trigger.
The phrases:Tim Spears wrote:@Mike
Correct; Telnic shot themselves in the leg with Telnames. They have disappointed partners and customers.
Immediately after the Telnames launch I wrote this:mikeseaton wrote:What's so sad is how predictable this was, myself and so many others warned Telnic/Telnames about this - and also how they needed to get their act together before the new gTLDs became hot news - but were completely ignored as usual !
@Tim - it certainly comes across that way - intentional or not !Tim Spears wrote:Sorry Mike, but .tel can't become a success if Telnic doesn't want it. And Telnic definitely doesn't want it (at least not yet)!
LKPS !!! Perhaps the truth is even more basic, even if same results at the end of the day :from discussion in post 92 : wrote:Expert wrote:

THIS IS A BASIC BUSINESS LESSON - RETAILERS DON'T LIKE THEIR OWN MANUFACTURER COMPETING WITH THEM SELLING THE SAME PRODUCT - NEVER MIND DENYING THEM THE LATEST IMPROVED VERSION AS WELL !
