It certainly looks like it according to Telnic's own Developer Forum at http://dev.telnic.org/trac/discussion !

Check out the "Last Reply" dates !

WHY won't Telnic accept it's GAME OVER and let a more financially secure, dynamic, pro-active, fully staffed operation take over BEFORE the money finally runs out ?

Telnic has decided to let .tel die three years ago:

So there appears to be just one .Tel Developer left in the form of Mark Kolb of https://www.telmasters.com - still showing in the bottom right (refresh page if not displayed) a banner advert saying:

Over 275,000 .tel domains since March '09 and counting.

Come on Mark - it's been mentioned before in this forum - that figure is just not true !

The real Total Registration figure today (10 August 2014) is less than half that at just 136,295 !

In the UK if you display misleading information which results, or could result, in financial gain (eg. a .tel registration) the Trading Standards law will come down on you like a ton of bricks !

Doea Canada not have a similar law ?

Mark, you need to update your advert immediately to reflect the true situation, not a misleading one !

Mark has no bad intention; he has just become tired of the long lasting failure by Telnic - like all of us!
Therefore we have to forgive him his lack of motivation to keep all his websites updated.

    It's the same with dottel.net!
The numbers are just faulty and ridiculous.

@Toptel - I can understand that Mark Kolb and Dottel.net may have lost interest in .tel and therefore don't feel like spending any time correcting vastly inflated sales figures on their .tel promotion sites.

I'm just not sure users who buy after receiving false information (and could complain to UK Trading Standards) will be quite so understanding !

Hence the warning - the last thing the .tel extension needs is to be accused of misleading new buyers !
