    It's Easy To Forget...

...with all this talk about new template(s), Telnames etc., what .tel is all about !

I'm talking about the ability to easily enter data into the DNS which is universally accessible by any internet-connected device for displaying - or referencing - as defined by the software provider.

The template displayed by the Telnic or Telnames proxy is just one display format by one piece of software.

In the future the data held in the DNS for a .tel could be displayed - or used in a decision process - by 100's of different applications that read the DNS.

Just thought I'd bring ourselves back to what .tel is all about - Henri calls it Phase 2

It's good to be reminded. I enjoyed reading Henri's post - 1 year later.

Henri mentioned the importance of reaching critical mass. Basically that's what I've been harping on here lately. No need to repeat myself, but I wonder what Henri thinks of my dream of providing a kind of social networking Tel hub?

If the Telnames new template takes off - as I believe it could do with the proper marketing and worldwide promotion - then Henri's Phase 2 could become a reality within the forseeable future.

Now that really would change the way the world communicates !
