Forget the Fridge, Pass Go collect 200 Prisoners.

ok I read this and the section about the ford and fridge I get but adoption will take a while:

People we're trying to use Twitter to DM them updates for all sorts of objects, so you should play on that more about getting updates through secure DNS look ups.

But why don't you approach a prison, a .tel would be ideal for storing profiles of offenders, their location within the prison and links to their data that officers can just enter a number and pull up the data on a hand held device.

Wall scanners can monitor who's in what location within the building and update their profile, so a quick search can pull up where they are and who's near by which could even lead to tracking who they socialize with and so help break up gang behavior within the system.

Or alert officers when someone is near another prisoner they're not supposed to be near, aka getting shanked, which could automatically lock down that entire wing so who ever did it could not escape being caught near by with the knife.

Prisons are a major industry in the united states, by design not because of social unrest and I'm sure they would invest in some research to have iphones with app pull DNS offender data, based on what group an officer is in and what hes allowed to access.

They can use the black and white tags on prison issue clothing that we normal people scan with phones to store or send officers to the URL, so they can quickly scan people who pass into and out of areas.

Or even use iris reconnection software to link an eye to a url profile, in case offenders swap clothes and number patches.

Patch number and eye don't match profile? pull them to the side.

That would at least bring some GOV investment to make sure Telnic ticks over until its adopted by main stream normal people.

They tend to say such systems are millions of dollars to design and build, If you tell them they can be a registrar and run a DNS for a few thousand and use the entire record system of their DNS servers for 1 or more prison system domains they'll adopt it because that's super cheap and super fast to implement.

Heck even the army could use it to identify legitimate solders on the battle field, aka route out spys by matching iris reconnection scans to url profile data.

Iris scan don't match dns profile? it's a spy!

Or what about battlefield tagging? they can tag tanks and other such things and have it matched to a DNS profile, pull up the data in real time.

Or scope/night vision data? tag your own squad and know not to fire at them. Augmented reality battlefield DNS tagging.

Bunjie, I understand what you are saying an it would be great for .tel to be adapted in such a way both in prisons, battlefields and even hospitals. However surely this sort of system would be best kept in closed networks rather than a .tel. RFID tags would compliment a solid database for this.
By the way there are guns which are prototyped which identify and stop blue on blue fire (friendly fire) tried looking for the link but cant find it.
