Forget Telhosing !!!

Two weeks ago, .tel has become a normal domain extension.

Telhosting is a very limited solution and has nothing to offer that can't be offered by other website builders, too.

In addition, Telhosting has become faulty:

There is only one option to use a .tel domain: build your own website with another available service - just like with any other domain.

The question is only if the term .tel has any value in comparison to 1,500 other generic domain extensions.

That's the point:
.tel is completely similar to all new gTLDs now.
If the new gTLDs have a chance, .tel has the same, too.

My conclusion:
If new gTLDs have a chance, .tel can make its way, too.

TEL is one of 1500 other domain extensions. In gambling usually wins only one. Average probability for one player to win in the tournament gambling poker with another 1500 players is 1 : 1500. Such are and TEL chances.

I think in a real casino there will be extremely difficult to find volunteers willing to play a poker or roulette with such miserable chances.

That's only a guess, but not a reliable forecast.

Many new gTLDs could become successful and many not. But it's very difficult to give a realistic prognosis.

Toptel, yes, all these are only guesses; and I would even say that they are more prone to optimistic assumptions.

In order to evaluate chances of TEL more realistically, we must also recognize that the premise that at least one of the new extensions will be successful has not been proved by anything else but the FAITH. That is, in this battle between new extensions, can also be no winner at all, TEL extension including.

That is, my assumptions about the chances of winning at 1: 1500 can be overstated. In reality, these chances can also be 0 (zero).

For a few extensions (.online, .shop, .web and some more), the chances are extraordinary.
Hence the chances for .tel are not that bad.
If I compare .tel with .xyz, .top, .win, .site or .vip, the name .tel has more quality.

@Gibbs, good use of .tel sir but, if you can take a bit of constructive criticism, you may wish to consider reducing the depth of the header on the bajanrecon sites. Trying to view the cars is a bit like looking through a letterbox.

Good observation. I shall look at it.

I guess you are looking at it on a laptop or small screen. Looks great on mobile and a larger monitor. But will reduce depth of header.

Actually the template I used does not allow a lot of reduction of header. Will explore other templates.

If customer supplies pics and text you can easily build a site in a day, or two max.

$7.20 x 12 mo = 86.40 $/year.

Add TEL domain price for 1 year ($ 12), and total is 98.40 $/year.

So, after latest Telnic's improvements, we have yearly expenses for one TEL-site of $98.40 instead of former $12.

I personally see no reasons to celebrate the date of March 13, because instead of something promising (which the TEL was earlier) we have ordinary extention with ordinary solutions and ordinary results.

Well as a business model the previous Telnic model did not work nor do I think it will ever work. Its nice to build out a $5-template in five minutes, but Facebook killed that. For free. So if people want to use Telnic Tel template that is great, but its not going to make you any money. Building a full responsive website will make you money upfront, also in charging customer for monthly hosting fees, plus charges for updates to the sites. Its just a better business proposition.

There are several options for using .tel domains.
1. Sell.
2. Find a site builder, there are a lot of free constructs on the Internet, but they are all much more complicated than telhosting.
3. Hire a webmaster and make a regular website.
4. Use the services of paid services, as proposed by Kprobe.
5. Copy from backup and put on the Internet your sites.
I preferred the fifth option, as the cheapest one.
Hosting costs only $1-2 per year. Domain registration renewal $10. Total $12 per year.
The profit from Adsense should be more expensive, so it would make sense to have tel domains.
The disadvantage of the 5th option is that I can not change the information myself, I need to hire a webmaster.
For example, a webmaster asks for $2 for changing the phone number or making a new entry.
But I do not need to change anything, my sites are 7 years old and since I made them, I almost did not change anything.
Only on this one site http: http://teplica.tel I have to change prices once a year. I'm willing to pay a few dollars for this.

7th option wait for a good solution and you don't have to pay if you don't like so in reality you aren't losing anything.

we have been quite because we are testing the google algorithms in order to give you ranking then just letting you jump in our ship and drown :)

www.zimbabwe.spareparts.tel can be seen as an example of what we added only but there is more coming our sites are running but we are testing it and hopefully if things go well in less than 10 days we will have everything going as we see the google results.

all you have to do is just upload your XML nothing more nothing less :)

it has much more options that any webmaster can think of because a person for whom it is being built is a .tel user / investor / developer too

True, i guess then we will say option 4. i thought number 7 is lucky for many so it would be nice to use that.

the cost is not decided but it is more divided based on the subdomains you use. if you need

standard 5 -10 subdomains it US$ 5/yr
then we jump to 300 subdomains it will cost 15/yr
then if we jump to 1000 it will cost 35/yr
if we go to 5000 it will cost 60/yr

the best thing is you use it, you dont like it you dont pay as it's free for 2 months.

it has much more to offer

1) banners
2) logo
3) plenty of contacts
4) Gallery
5) Video ( Youtube, and others )
6) Sub Domain count for you to know where you heading
7) Standard procedure for all subdomains but if you wish to personalize 1 or many speific subdomains you can.

9) you can publish or unpublish any subdomain you wish
