Which .tel domain looks more professional: the known look from today or my suggestion from above?

I will answer on 2 usage fronts...

1. a directory based .tel
- mostly all pages within the .tel will be of minimal simple format. (mobile and desktop)
- your scenario doesn't even apply

2. a personal .tel
- the new templates (promised well before september) would be fine.
- ok so they are not here today, but they will be a visually appealing standard template for individuals to fill out.
- they look more professional than your suggestions in my opinion

I'm sorry, but i don't understand where you are heading with this Jens.
the facility to embed/fetch some dottel data and display into existing websites is already part of the webmaster tools available today.

as a side note (in case anybody's interested):
I am currently testing this idea of embedded contact data into a friends website project. the overall website is made of parts. its completely derived and updated from using ONLY an iPad/iphone (and ONLY with the use of iPad/iphone apps). i.e. the website itself has a "gallery", a "blog", a "shop", and a "contacts" section.

the person has NO IDEA about computers or domains or hosting websites.
they do however have a complete understanding of APP's and want to go online with a business idea.
so the experiment to bring a new business onto the web completely using an iPhone/ipad:

flicker app is used for the gallery.
wordpress app is used for the blog
ebay/etsy app is used for the shop
my.tel app is used for the contact data

fun project.

Jens , i did give my opinion.
we all know the old templates are a dead-end.
i am saying with the promised new templates .tel will actually look ok.
(telnic needs to cut the old browser baggage loose, and just deliver with a disclaimer: only works with THIS)

as for everybody wanting a different looking website, why are things like wordpress starting to dominate? wordpress is basically a bunch of templates, with a simple fill and go mentality. same as .tel. sure, lots of templates, but the wordpress system-wide usage is already becoming mainstream massive. (and get this telnic: the templates say only works with THIS and THIS)

and Facebook? that too is everybody looking the same

its working out very well.
its using exact tools to do exact things.
do you have an iPhone? have you used henri's my.tel app?
what my.tel does for contact data, other specific apps do for that specific data.

its as simple as "touch and go"
whats hard or disasterous about that?
your complete online presence handled through a few simple apps.
each to their own.

Are the limitations on TEL (presently) something to do with the conditions/terms under which the ICANN license was grated to TELNIC?
