Site search indexing Hi. Am I right that telpages and site search have the same index? How much time is it needed to index new pages? |
Yes, that's right. Generally it's 24 - 48 hours. A few things to remember, however: - the page must have at least one contact record to be indexed - the content of contact records are not currently indexed |
Hi, Aled. It seems to me that indexing did not occur under these conditions on my test dottel. May I appeal to you, if there will be delays on the production one? And what about search data content? Should the search engine to find all occurrences of the keyword on the dottel? |
could you send me the specific example that you have, including the page, search term and when the content was added so that I can investigate this for you please? |
Thank you, that content is deleted already, but tomorrow I will check that I have published yesterday. So let's wait for one day. |
These are examples, that had not been found 1) Added: 03.11 Key: Kафе (ru: cafe) Pages: http://лео. кафе-и-рестораны.ily.tel/ OR through proxy http://a1.webproxy.nic.tel/lookup/xn...clow8j.ily.tel http://крепость.кафе-и-рестораны.ily.tel/ http://чито-гврито.кафе-и-рестораны.ily.tel/ So, nothing from кафе-и-рестораны.ily.tel |
Thanks, nothing immediate seems to be wrong with what you have done, so I'll need to escallate to the engineers. Is it possible for you to leave the content there for a few days please? |
Yes, thank you. That is the public version. Do I need to keep site search enabled? So I will wait for the results. |
Yes please. Thanks |
I think the search of telpages, o search of ours domains is bad. For example I have http://americancoin.criptomonedas.tel/ and is the same to all subdomains. In the title I have de name of the cryptocoin, for example AMERICANCOIN (AMC), I put that in the search of the domain "AMERICANCOIN (AMC)" and the answer is: "No results found. Please modify your search criteria and restart your search" And I have select "search in this domain". And if I go to google, I put AMERICANCOIN (AMC), in the 5 position is http://americancoin.criptomonedas.tel/ |
Tindya, In your specific example, do you have a link to the http://americancoin.criptomonedas.tel/ from http://criptomonedas.tel ? I can't see one. Telpages finds content by crawling from the root name, so in your example, it starts at http://criptomonedas.tel and follows the folder links out from there to gather content, If there is a folder which does not have a path from a root, then it will not be indexed. |
I have the links from http://principales.criptomonedas.tel/ |
Tindya, had the link/content been there long? I now see that a search for AMERICANCOIN (AMC) does find the page in question. Ily - am I right in seeing that the search for ресторан does now bring up the expected results? At the moment I still do not get the results you expect for Kафе. Thanks, Aled |
Aled, I have noticed that the search is being renovated, when redirecting rules on the web proxy are correctly send a visitor to the . tel domain and not to proxy/lookup... from last night As for now searching for "Кафе" (Cafe) have being indexed and working too. Many thanks and happy that it is possible the productive communication with you personally and Telnic at all. I saw a workflow! There remains a question about search on the site: how results are ranked? For example, Ресторан, or if we'll search for cafe: кафе -- we get some results in the 2nd position (both keys) that are not contain the key in the title, but are ranked higher then other ones. The difference of these subdomains is what they were created much earlier. So for better user experience, the information about search ranking rules is very important for me as .tel directory creator. |
I'm glad that's improved for you, Ily. I'm sure you can appreciate that as with any search engine, it's not possible for us to share the actual ranking rules. We do try to make the results as relevant as possible based on the search made. |
Well, that's not a problem to do some experiments. IMHO, the key difference of .tel search from search engines is that search on a .tel website is its primary function, so I thought it appropriate to such a question. In any case, I understand your point of view and was very pleased with the decision of the question. Kindly ask you to have a look on this topic, I am sure you will be able to give the correct decision. |

Now, Peeeeerfect for me. What I wanted was that the people write the name of cryptocoin in the search, and go to the page of that cryptocoin. I think now work like that. Thanks.[/size] |
