TELcpV2.0 - Mobile version coming soon The mobile version of the TELcp has been tested with jQuery Mobile library Alpha release. A cross browser Beta release of jQuery Mobile will be released soon according to their blog site . When that is available we will try our best to give your the mobile version of thewww.telcp.com with limited features. We were in a similar situation last year until the release of the PHP version 5.3. Without PHP 5.3, we wouldn't have been able achieve half of what we have done at TELcpV2.0. Similarly, we are waiting patiently until the release of the stable version of the jQuery mobile library. With TELcp mobile, our system will be a truly compatible system to go hand in hand with the .tel technology. Cheers! P.S. jQuery Mobile supported platforms can be seen here. |
The jQuery Mobile Beta 1 was released yesterday. We are now carrying out necessary tests to give you a cross-platform & cross-device mobile version of TELcp. However, we are unable to give any ETA at the moment, We might be able to give a definite indication by first week of July. Cheers! |
would be delighted to beta test this. (I am particularly interested in running this within my app's UIwebView window) 320 width x unlimited high for data entry screens (as opposed to max of 320high for the initial login screen) ie would be ideal to keep things simple for the client thank you for your efforts. just some wishes, thats all! |
Hi Telcp, Two questions for you: 1- Is it possible to insert an ad in between categories? Either a text (link) or image. 2- Is it possible to insert a sound file to play? Can a player be integrated? Be well |

Well, a category has to be a name of a sub domain. In that case you can not have anything between sub domains. It has to be always under a sub domain (or sub-sub-domain etc). Yes, under a sub domain (whatever the category you want to call it) Quote:
You can only have a link to a sound file to play on a new window. Hope this helps. Rgds |
Hi Telcp, Let's take an example: Dubai.tel then you have category such as bars, restaurants, hotels etc..It will look like: Dubai bards restaurants hotels At this stage you can have an ad on the top, bottom, right hand side. If i want to put an add between the category, like Dubai bars Best Bar in Dubai - Check out Buddhabar.tel <---- this is an AD restaurants hotels Is that possible technically or not? Thanks and Be well |

No, this is not possible within .tel. You can have it as follows: Page header <-- Text/Image Ads --> Dubai bars restaurants hotels keyword text, free text <-- Text/Image Ads --> For more information please refer page 4 of http://dev.telnic.org/docs/advertisements.pdf Hope this helps. |
Hi, Thanks Telcp. Telnic! I think it makes lots of business sense to be able to add one or 2 ads between the category (either image or just a line). Any explanation on this limitation. Thanks for listening! |
tel4rent, as always it's a matter of balancing the different needs of users. There has to be a limitation somewhere as your .tel is not a web builder tool. At the moment, as referenced in the link TelCP provided, ads are permitted to the right, above and below the text, but not inside the content itself. |
Good that is enough |

How's it coming along? Personally, I am waiting on the mobile version of your system (I believe this is where the product will be most useful, to end users) |

Well, we are stuck with two functions. The present version of Jquery Mobile Beta does not provide "Jquery Sortables" which plays a major role in TELcp. We are trying to develop our own sortable system to go with the present Jquery Mobile version. But these innovations take time. If it is going to take longer, then we might launch a TELcp mobile version with limited features (until Sortables is sorted out). Thanks for your interest. Cheers! |
