    TelMailBox:

    • A .tel page provides a single point of contact for your communication needs.
    • Our technique provides an extra layer of privacy for email address on any .tel page.
    • Your actual email address will never be exposed to your visitors or web robots.
    • Visitors will click the TelMailBox link on the .tel page to send you email.

    It's easy and FREE

    • You must be an owner of the .tel domain to enable .tel Mail Box.
    • Sign up as a .tel Owner to use our FREE services.
    • The .tel Mail Box is a fully automated service provided for any .tel page.
    • No technical jargon. It's easy to set up.

How does an email message get delivered via TelMailBox?

    1. A visitor to a .tel page, who clicks the web link to TelMailBox which contains the encoded data of the .tel page, arrives at the main page of telmailbox.com.
    2. The encoded data of the web link will be proceessed to check if the .tel page is recorded in the database at telmailbox.com and is provided with an email address by it's owner.
    3. If an email address is provided by .tel page owner, the visitor will be served with an online contact form to type and send an email message addressed to the addressee of the .tel page.

How does a .tel owner configure email addresses?

    1. A .tel Owner who wishes to provide the services of telmailbox.com must sign up as a registered user.
    2. Registration is free for any .tel Owner.
    3. Add your .tel domain and grant OAuth authentication by selecting the OAuth client "MailBox".
    4. Your ownership of the .tel domain will be verified and if successful the database will be populated with .tel page links.
    5. You can add more than one .tel domain from the same domain registrar or multiple .tel domains from different domain registrars.
    6. Select the .tel page and insert an email address.

    Example: TelMailBox on a .tel

Very nice idea in relation to privacy concerns.
Unfortunately the service is not working. When you try to register yourself the process will fail due to technical problems.
In addition on the homepage are several misspellings, so it damages the professional image of this service.

    Today's response:
The Registration process did have a bug, most probably occurred during encoding the script (our script is 100% encoded and Important entries to the database are encrypted).

    The bug has been cleared.
I think this service is really a great benefit for all .tel domain owners - and it should be working now!

I can confirm the registration process is working fine now.
I want to correct my account which was affected by the bug, but it's not possible.
So I tried to use the contact form from Telmailbox for clarification, but this gives me only technical error messages.
Another contact possibility is not provided.
(Therefore I've opened a new account now.)

Unfortunately Telmailbox doesn't provide an individual link for my domains which need to be displayed on my .tel, so I can't install the service.
The instruction gives only the following info:
Insert web links of www.telmailbox.com/xxxxxxxx manually on page by page basis by using CTH or third party service such as TELcp.
There is no info how to replace xxxxxxxx.

The service generally doesn't seem to be working with domains at Telnames, either.

Because of missing contact possibility and missing detailed instructions, it's impossible to use Telmailbox for now.

URLs of your tel domain and its sub domains will be saved to .tel Mail Box database for management.
But this database is not accessible!

Probably we just have to wait until these improvements take place.

When opening an account at TelMailBox you should consider the following:

    • Domains at Telnames are not supported.
    • You need to provide your login data for your control panel of your .tel domain via OAuth to TelMailBox.
    • The link to TelMailBox will be inserted automatically into your .tel domain without further notice.
    • This link is not always inserted correctly: sometimes it appears twice in the control panel of your domain registrar or the description "Mail Box" can be accidently exchanged with the description of another contact entry from your .tel domain.
In this case I recommend deleting the automatic inserted link(s) and insert it manually with the correct data again (with the correct 8 digit code which you have to save or write down first).

    Great work!
TELcp and TelMailBox are the best services available for .tel!
And I like the speed of development of this. If Telnic would work with the same speed, .tel would be a burner!

Unbelievable Telnic haven’t provided this standard feature. Domain owners (like the provider of telmailbox.com) have to create their own solution now.

An integrated contact form in the way like Google Maps would be better of course, but the solution von Telmailbox is very good. I can live with that.
In addition I like the placement of the Telnic commercial which appears after sending a message.

In fact it is possible to use it for Telnames! Here is a workaround:
Open an account at TelMailBox for any .tel domain (different than Telnames) and then insert the link which directs to TelMailBox into your domain at Telnames.
    Now it works the same!

It's even better, since there is no limitation to place the link on a .com, .uk or .de!
The only requirement is you have to open an account with a .tel once, and then you can use the link wherever you want.

    E-Mail from Telmailbox:
We have carried out an urgent security update. Therefore, please log in to your .tel Owner acct and resubmit (add) all the .tel domains once again.
After that you are required to update the email address of .tel pages as well.
This will result in a duplicate entry in your corresponding tel page.
You will require to delete the duplicate entry through CTH/third part tool.

    New info from TELcp:

Will be providing access to .tel MailBox at www.telmailbox.com through the control panel of TELcp.

After this integration, TELcp customers will be able to mask their email addresses through TELcp and receive email messages redirected from telmailbox.com.
This service will be available FREE of charge to all existing and future customers at www.telcp.com . They will not require to create separate accounts at www.telcp.com .

    Telmailbox isn't working anymore:
Clicking the link on a .tel domain doesn't lead to the contact form anymore, but to the homepage of Telmailbox.
The control panel at Telmailbox gives the following information:
    Access denied !
Sorry. You have not been granted access for the requested process.
Please contact the owner of the tel domain directly for more information.
This instruction says I have to contact myself to solve the problem!?!?
