Only 62,748 Telnic non-IDN .tels still registered !

I've just had a look at the Daily Total Registration stats at www.dottel.net and was surprised to see there are now only 62,748 Telnic non-IDN .tels still registered.

Here's the breakdown of today's figures:

223,327 Total .tels registered
made up of
78,873 IDNs
72,455 TelChina (TC)
9,251 Telnames (TN)
and
62,748 Telnic non-IDNs

Telnic non-IDNs are calculated by subtracting (IDNs + TC + TN) from the total registration figure of 223,327.

So maybe these will eventually disappear by natural wastage (drops less renewals/registrations) leaving Telnames to rule the roost outside of China/IDN ?

I think that most IDNs are registered by TelChina. So, for calculating exact number of Telnic non-IDNs domains it is not enough just to deduct IDNs + TC + TN from total number of TELs. How to count them exactly, I do not know. But surely the number should be bigger than 62,748.

It SHOULD be - if .tel had been properly marketed from 2009 and the views of highly experienced software developers, domain investors and power users had been listened to and acted upon !

But AFAIK the registration figures from www.dottel.net are accurate.
