Yes, in the old days you lost your domain if you couldn't pay the renwal fees. That can't happen anymore.

Due to Telnic's regulatory-driven business strategy with business development at a snail's pace, .tel domains have failed without any doubt.
Now there is the Web3 and Telnic / Telnames will no longer have any chance to connect here.
Such things happen when managers are only interested in making a quick buck, but don't care about customer needs.
This is what we have witnessed since 2010 in the case of Telnic / Telnames.
It's sad, because the initial idea of Telnic was smart. But now the train has left the station. There are new technologies now that make the concept of .tel domains completely worthless.
