    Warning about Telnames Empty Warning about Telnames

    Post by FiXoR 2013-06-20, 1:23 pm

    I collected some facts:

    Statement from Telnames at http://twitter.com/IanBM/status/271348660124647424 : UK's fastest growing mobile website brand
    The truth: http://www.teltalk.org/t1222-tel-history

    As long a Telnames customer is using unpopular keywords, he has a chance to get good search results for it. But he has no chance that people will find him for industry related keywords.
    Example: Several driving instructors are using Telnames (see http://www.teltalk.org/t476-the-most-used-keyword-for-tels-from-telnames ). Try to find a Telnames website of a driving instructor on Google if you don't know the company name. Impossible!

    Telnames is the same company as Telnic that cancelled all development 2 years ago.

    Telnames tries to convince customers with the implementation of new features: http://www.teltalk.org/t1223-sell-goods-services-and-take-donations-with-your-telname
    These are very basic instruments available from every other mobile website service, too.

    To avoid any surprises for new Telnames customers: Only 1 (!) page will be provided, the length of text is extremely limited and nobody will ever visit a website from Telnames, because it is not discoverable on the internet.

    Warning about Telnames Empty being found

    Post by mikeseaton 2013-06-20, 1:30 pm

    @FiXoR

    The Twitter link quoted leads to "Page Not Found" - this is due to the colon on the end of the URL.

    Here's the corrected link - https://twitter.com/IanBM/status/271348660124647424

    Re your comment about Telnames (or Telnic for that matter) driving instructor .tels not being found on Google I agree - the only solution, in the absence of the promised Tel Global Directory, is to use a .Tel Specific Search Engine.

    Here's the .Tel Search Engine I would use to search for a Driving Instructor
    - click the Web/Video/Facebook/Google+/Pinterest/Twitter links above the search box on the results page to do the same search at these other sites without rekeying.
