What do you think is a fair price for a geo listing? I think quicklookmedia charge less than 20 english pounds per year.

Selling listings: ie client gets a whole page vs just selling banners on a CPM or CPC basis.

Monetising .tels needs FREE TRAFFIC which means LONG TAIL SEO which means SUBDOMAINS which according to Telnic's actions have no future on .tel domains !

Telnic have NOT DONE the following for the original Telnic subdomain .tels, but HAVE DONE the following for their Telnames single-page .tels:

- TV ads
- Radio interviews
- Web interviews
- Business shows
- Extensive blogging
- CJ Affiliate program
- etc, etc.
 
Just thought I'd mention this before you spend too much time on something that Telnic have made clear - by their actions (or more precisely lack of) - they view as having no long-term future !

Yes, agreed but at the moment I am just completing one geo and one keyword old style .tels so not putting much work into .tel now.

But I really wonder if Telnic could afford not to have the old style .tels around given that Telnames is a total failure. Them enhancing .tel old style is a different issue of course.

mike you can point a good domain keyword name what gets traffic to your telnames.

Why would I want to do that (except maybe for smartphone users) ?

The monetisation options available at a "good domain keyword name" will always be far greater than that currently provided by Telnames !

They've already achieved 6,710 Telnames indexed (by Google) !

PS. This was a "tongue-in-cheek" post - if I didn't have a laugh now and again I'd cry at the wasted opportunities on the .tel project by Telnic/Telnames not to mention the little matter of $35,000,000 mostly down the drain !

It's difficult to keep up with the downward trend of .tel - now affecting Telnames as well as the original Telnic subdomain .tels.

Click the above link and 6,710 has now become 6,270 - just 3 days later !

Where will it all end (rhetorical question) ?
