Godaddy & .Tel

Is Godaddy considering selling .tel? It would be a big boost to .tel if they started offering it. The general public only knows one place to buy domains and that is Godaddy.

GoDaddy is heavy into upselling services like hosting so doubt it. They can't do anything more with .tel after they sell one, perhaps only email.

Same as Mark, that's my view as well, they can't value add and that's where the money is for Godaddy etc

I thought that was an April fools

Seriously, can't see them selling tel as others have mentioned, their business model is all about the upsell. The directory service partnerships .tel is pursing are a better match...

Seems highly unlikely - ICANN having rejected GoDaddy's appeal to stop Telnic selling numeric-only .tels - seehttp://domainincite.com/go-daddy-obj...ic-tel-domains

its an interesting read, the history ie telnic's bid for the .tel domain.
So godaddy thinks the change is "gaming", i guess translates to a threat to other tld's.

at this time, .tel is so low profile that how could it matter.
sure seems like a lucky break though...
good job telnic.

BigDaddy Ceo Bob Parsons shoots Elephant.

I'm sure most would be aware of this story, but for those who are not.
Would you really want to associate with a person like this.
