Sell Goods, Services and Take Donations With Your Telname.

Anyone tried selling off a Telname as yet?

    How about taking donations?

    Interesting.

A family member has been using a telnames.
www.agaves.tel which links thru to her eBay "store" selling her plants.
...has definately been getting some traffic and subsequent sales via the originating telnames site.

eBay has some very high fees unfortunately.
PayPal/shopping cart integration within the tenames will be very helpful to the bottom line.

Waiting for more news on this.

i looked into this..i need to clarify that the recorded traffic on the www.agaves.tel site is not coming directly (ie NOT from the search engines result of the telnames site), its actually coming from the way she has set-up her ebay store site (i.e. the search engines are picking up on the actual ebay store , and individual ebay listed store items)

    item.... Source .....................................Visits
    1. ....... vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com.au ........26
    2. ....... vi.ebaydesc.com.au .................11
    3. ....... google.com ...............................1

In her attempt to drive traffic to her actual telnames.tel she pays a LOT of insertion/auction fees (and multiple times per month)
that is, PER listed ITEM and within each individual ebay listed item she deliberately includes a prominent link actually pointing/forwarding to her telnames.tel alternative/interim/future store

so, the telnames.tel site currently JUST acts as a gateway/jump
(is very simple, beautiful background... BUT basically is pointing immediately back to her ebay store. the ebay icon does an effective job of navigating her customers thru this "experiment")

    bottom line...
    1. this is both an attempt to get her telnames.tel to rank/move higher in google,
    2. to ween herself evenyually off the ebay store high fees altogether.

anyway, the paypal inclusion on telnames suits this overall plan![/size]

Sorry, delayed as I sell my way in home town. However, happy to provide a custom form for you if not too complicated.

@Boracay, IMO agave.tel needs more content in the form of text at the bottom. That would help with SEO.

    Check This:

    http://www.luxurydaily.com/marketers...mobile-simple/

Sounds a little like Telnames. Good future for it.

However Telnames although simple, is still a little to straight-jacketed.

    Gibran06-11-2013 07:54 PM

    CORRECTION "a little too straight-jacketed"

    dialaroom06-11-2013 08:29 PM

And how can a one page, 20 record site ever have good SERPS.

    dutchstreetdog06-12-2013 10:02 AM

Year i dont believe in good serps for the 1 page
I do believe in the pro .Tel good serps !
But its all about the name. when you own Taxi.Tel, 1 page will bey enough
Thats what people will Call, the will remember !
The dont care its 1 page telnames or à telnic Pro
Thats why keyword names are so good

    dialaroom06-13-2013 07:53 AM

Keywords are good, unless the keyword is "onepage" I had "onepage.tel" for 12 months and got about 12 hits.

My attempt at paypal ... www.Solutions.tel
Congratulations to TelNames on this cool feature. Telling all my customers about it. Very easy to use. Huge benefit. Going to create another site to sell my goods.
Only suggestion is to allow repositioning as I feel coupons are more important and should be above items for sale.
And credit card icons with the PayPal icon.

    Mark,

Re. http://solutions.tel - I'm confused. I can see the payment part but, what about the Order element? I can't see a connection to a VAR portal. Do you register the Telname yourself manually once you receive notification that someone has paid? If so, how do you know which name to register, and the registrants details?

I noticed that Boracay's http://miagos.tel PayPal form asks for a lot more information, which I suppose could be taken as an order and delivery address.

I suppose I would get an email from paypal with a receipt. Haven't tried it yet. The idea is they would order and I would contact them to get the information. I will be setting up another real site to sell products.

    Blunderer06-13-2013 07:11 PM

Thanks for that Mark. I thought I was missing an essential element. It would be nice to have the facility on the .tel version - to support telesales, but I suppose I can send people off the site to PayPal, or a Telname. Anyway, good work.
