Good news ?? It looks like Name.com is not accepting .mobi registrations anymore |

Marimax - what makes you say that? Here is their current price list which shows a price for Dot Mobi registrations, renewals and transfers -http://www.name.com/pricing Mike Seaton |

But it's on the list? so how can they not accept them? Quote:

If you type in a name in the search box and click search there is no .mobi box underneath. It used to be there all the time and right now I can not see itat all |

Hi Marimax, True - if you enter "domainname" there is no .mobi selection box under the line "domainname is available in the following extensions" - these extensions are what Name.com considers the most likely to be ordered. But if you enter "domainname.mobi" in the search box on the home page a selection box will appear indicating whether .mobi is available or taken - additionally if you click the "Search Multiple Domain Names" link on the home page and tick the .mobi option you will get a response of available or taken. So it does appear that Name.com are still taking .mobi registrations, renewals and transfers. Mike Seaton |

But it confirms that name.com does not think.mobi is as strong as other TLDs, might be something in that. |

Could be. These are the extensions Name.com lists selection boxes for when a search is done from the home page without specifying any extension: .com, .net, .co.uk, .info, .org, .me, .tel, .tv, .im, .us, .co The good news as you can see is that .tel is on this list. Mike Seaton |
