    Hi everyone. Telmasters is back up but still on old server. Having trouble with OpenAuth for SOAP and PHP 5.3. Looking for assistance.

    Going to attempt another cut over tonight at 7PM EST. Andy and Henri are helping sort this out.

    haven't experimented with OpenAuth and 5.3 so can't help. did you reach out to TelCp as they're using php and openauth. not sure if its 5.3 though...

    Mark Kolb (Kprobe)05-15-2012 03:01 AM

    Keeping server as is overnight, broken until I can get assistance. Sorry.

    Yes, we use PHP5.3, but recompiled to meet our requirement.
    Have already replied to Mark by email today morning.

    Cheers!

    P.S. Mark's email was in the junk folder. Hence. delay in reading.

    TELcp05-15-2012 09:31 AM

    @Mark

    Is this happening only for list_records or other functions as well?

    TELcp05-15-2012 09:42 AM

    @Mark

    The other thing is, I am sure you are aware, that any script written for below PHP5.3 will not work in PHP5.3. There is a big difference between PHP5.2 and 5.3.

    In fact, we migrated to PHP5.3 in TELcp ver.2.0
    Now use PHP5.3.2 for TELcp ver. 3.0 and use cURL for OAuth functions.

    Important! certain functions in PHP5.2 do not work in PHP5.3.

    OK, Henri solved the problem and am eternally grateful. It was a simple inconsistency between variables. The server is now working, as is Telvision. I have to now migrate the last few days of missing records to synch up the database. Thanks for the tips Telcp, I have to solve IDN next, but that's minor compared to this. A BIG relief.

    Database tables restored and synched up, so all new users and domains since May 10 should be in place. Please let me know if you have even the slightest issue.
    Thx

    @Mark

    Glad to hear everything is back to normal now.

    Cheers!

    Mark Kolb (Kprobe)05-15-2012 02:16 PM

    Thank you. Almost normal, got to get IDN working again.
    Mark

    Mark Kolb (Kprobe)05-15-2012 09:03 PM

    OK, thanks to Andy (andy.tel), IDN support is now back at Telmasters and Teldomains on the new server. So together with Henri earlier today, these two tech stars have saved the day! Thanks again.

    Good to know Henri is still our goto guy.

    Mark, can I use telmasters.com for a few of my new telnames sites? And if so, are we able to rename the descriptive tags for "video" and "image gallery"? I was really hoping to use the "custom field" and "custom label" or at least be able to add in a "note" field with some explanatory text. Well, I have a few/many questions for the telnames support team in how to best make use of the template. Thanks for any info you could share with us.

    Update: seems We cannot use telmasters on a telnames .tel domain

    Error: The client with identifier "telmasters" does not exist.

    So, again... Who do or where do people send telnames questions?
    Mark for your info...here's some data that shows up from the my.tel app
    Perhaps your tools can make use of it.

    When I purchased my only Telnames domain last week I noticed the section for OpenAuth clients. So I posed the question to Telnames and their response was basically not at this time. Since Telnames wants to restrict the capacity of their sites, using OA could probably get around the limits so that's why they don't allow it.

    I have noticed their OAuth client.
    They are not a registrar for Telnics.
    They are just a reseller/service provider for an independent registrar.
    So, it makes you wonder how a reseller can host a separate telhosting.

    @TELcp

    Why the "confused" icon ?

    The answer is very simple - Telnic the registry (run by Kash) has given Telnames the reseller (run by Kash) permission to do so !

    The sooner Telnic the registry is sold to an independent organisation (IMO only a matter of time) the easier it will be for all those concerned about a potential "conflict of interest" !

    Confused. Yes, because of technical complications when a reseller running a telhosting service.

    However. not interested in who runs the .tel tld.
    Our interest lies in the technical side of this unique tld.
    If it was not for its unique technology, nobody would have taken so much interest in it.
    .tel tld is governed by ICANN regs. Telnic Ltd is the present Sponsoring Organisation. Tomorrow it could be ABCD Ltd, Doesn't matter who runs it.
