    Optional Customizable Footer

I liked the footer, but only if I could be customized. How about bringing it back and giving the options of an on/off button to display the footer and customizable links. It could default as on and display the Telnic links by default like registrars do with parking pages. This would help with the promotion of dot tel. Users then would have full control over the content and be able to remove the footer if they want.

I was doing some thinking about it and came up with reasoning on why it is needed. Most commercial sites have a privacy policy. With dot tel you would have to place it in the main contact section which is unattractive. Footers usually have About Us, Feedback, Copyright, Privacy Policy, etc. These could be short text only pages with just a link back to home. I think large corporations would want this for legal reasons.[/size]

If a largeco cares about their legal policy enough to have it in their .tel, they can use the weblink contact type, not keep it in small print in the footer. No? It can be the last contact in the list not to attract too much attention. This would solve the additional problem of sorting out footers on mobile phone screens.
