    I made this suggestion to Second Life "Linden Labs".

    Integrated Telnic .tel contact data for business and private individual users to optionally offload requests for profile information or search from the database.

    Good stuff. I have started on an open source tool for pulling data directly from the DNS using .tel address as the base. 
    Data is returned in XML ... tel-dns-to-xml
